I was given mine the other day, BUT, when I took it out of the bag (they normally come flat packed) I realised I'd been given a second hand pair that were already put together and clearly been used multiple times. I know it's free, but that's disgusting of them and a total disregard to health and hygiene - needless to say they'll be getting a complaint!

What exactly do you have to be a member of? My wife's a member of Dobbies rewards, £10 a year and a free coffee or tea for 2 every month along with other perks and promotions throughout the year. Is the JL thing similar to this?

I signed up with John Lewis a few years ago, got a cake voucher immediately, but I've not had anything from them since.
Their nearest store is around 60 miles away though, so I never shop there.
