You really think that's necessary for you to be identified?

If visiting a theme park, be sure to run this app whilst riding the rollercoasters and see what score you get!

just done 200 miles and no score unless I give my details. Why did they let me skip my details at the beginning ? surely not to deceive me into giving them my data. :face_with_monocle:

I posted it as I find it a bit of fun - and it may even help improve my driving! I can't believe how suspicious people are on here. My ins premium is nice and low anyway so it'd never reduce it.

I've used this, you just put your email in, nothing else, if you're that worried, get a cheap burner phone with no personal accounts on it. The tin foil hats in here are blinding.

How would this help an innocent motorist from going in to the back of a car in a staged accident? Having black boxes and dash cams may prove liability or negligence, but as passive systems they won't stop you "driving like a dolt" or prevent an accident from happening.

Am I a safe driver? I do not need a mobile phone/insurance company to tell me either way and the things should be switched off in cars anyway!! that would make things a lot safer!!

where did you get the 95% figure from? made up or verified? in your sad insignificant existence where you just make stuff up to get yourself through the day

I was waiting for that response.
However, those services are services I choose to subscribe to knowingly. This app is utterly pointless, unless you have a policy with them and it's reducing your premium, to casually use it and give your information to insurance firms without pulling about the T&C? No thanks.
Anybody needing an app to tell them they're a safe driver clearly isn't safe. Drive to the speed limit and conditions, who needs an app in place of common sense?

And I love reading the posts from people who don't care or don't realise that this sort of info in the wrong hands and it's bye bye to personal freedom. You walk blindly into your 100% surveilled state, but don't complain when your idea of freedom is turned on its head one day and all because you like sharing all of personal info with everyone.
Bet you'd also want speed limiters on cars ? Constant GPS monitoring? Maybe share your DNA and hereditary health details with insurers too, after all makes it fair for all of us eh?

Do you have a Smartphone/tablet or Computer and don't use a firewall and preventative measures to minimise leaks? If the answer is "Yes". Then it's you X)

I tried my real hardest and scored 93% (But lets face it, It's like being on your driving test - You're not gonna speed with an App tracking your every move. Every gear change gentle, steady acceleration and gentle braking). So I then tried to better my premium with AXA (Who I'm with at the mo) but the long and short was even with 93% on their APP, it was a higher excess and less cover than I have currently. Seemed a fair bit of faff really to get a quote.

Loving the conspiracy theorists here, how sad must your insignificant little lives be! Black boxes should be compulsory, not optional, and if used with dashcams would cut out 95% of fraud saving us all a fortune! People who drive like dolts should face massive premiums so I can't wait for these to become the industry standard.

As a younger driver. Sad times. Got 94% or 9.4... when i did it and was still quoted £3000.. my current insurance is £1300 and that's with Churchill who provided more cover.

I'm all for free apps but I wouldn't trust this one. Insurance companies are crooks at the best of times and will do anything to avoid paying out. They're sure to find a way the info gathered by this to their advantage.

Don't expect to get much of a discount with these apps. I scored 8 out of 10 and my insurance reduced from £320 to £310. Wasn't really worth the 2 weeks of driving extra carefully.

For anyone wondering...
Do I need to provide any personal details before I start using the app? Before you start using the app we will ask for a few optional contact details from you, so we can keep in touch via email. Once you've completed 200 miles, we’ll need some more personal details from you, before we can provide you with a score and apply any discount you may have earned.
What data will you collect? We collect your location information from the devices GPS. We do not have access to your 'real time' location, the data is only uploaded after the journey is complete, and you can choose not to use the app for a journey as you wish. Before we send you your score and apply any discount you've earned, we will ask for your name, date of birth, address and email address.
What will you do with my data? The data we collect on your driving will be used to help us build an understanding of your driving behaviour and your individual risk. Using this information, we are then able to provide you with a quote specific to you. If your driving style shows you to be a safe driver, you could earn a discount. The data will also be used for our research purposes.
Who will you share my data with? Your data will only be used by Aviva and partners in order to process your driving score. We will not share your information with any other third parties except where we are legally obliged to do so. To learn more please read our Privacy Policy and Fair Processing Notice.
Wrong. It can be deleted straight away and is not fitted to a particular car. It could be activated by a passenger who has no connection to the car or the driver.

WARNING
Nothing but a harvest for all insurance companies. They will make this info available to "partner" companies that now know how you've been driving.
There is a table near the bottom of the page which says roughly how much you'd save if you choose to link it to your insurance. If you pay less than £200 there is no saving.

Interestingly come renewal I quoted the app to aviva and I was asked what my score was, I did tell the truth as my score was solid, but it did make me think whether they'd know.
That said well worth it. Took my premium down from 450 to 300.

The results are not recorded and can be deleted at any time. They cannot use them as they have no way of knowing what car you're in or who is driving.

A sure-fire way of putting your (possibly) poor driving skills on display - and having them put on every insurance database in the country to guarantee higher premia! oO
