Not sure if its been mentioned but I received an email today from Iceland stating that the £5 expires and is removed from cards if unspent by 8th January.
Just a heads up.

I know i can present the card voluntarily but it just bugged me that everyone else got asked for one instead of me, so i got quite bloody minded about it and decided to show the card after the transaction just to make some largely non-existent point I suppose.
As i've said, it's clearly because i'm Brad Pitt's fatter, older, uglier brother

Weird, out of the stores I've been in around the West Midlands, I've always been asked for my bonus card and I'm a single man shopping in there. If its the case they don't bother asking then maybe present the card as they start scanning, then it gives them no option but to scan the card.

Hah!, quite the opposite actually. I'm clearly Brad Pitt's fatter, older, uglier brother and the checkout staff were usually young, attractive women

Well one things for sure, he missed out on the bonus points he could have collected
Id say pay it no mind. Poor checkout staff have probably had 'geezers' who get offended when asked for a bonus card. So they probably stop asking young males altogether. Don't think it's a conspiracy just yet

it always tickles me how iceland checkout staff ignore single men when asking for bonus cards. i've been in a queue where there woman in front of me was asked for hers and the woman behind me was asked for hers and I wasn't asked if i had one.
I was deliberately hanging around and packing my stuff slowly to see if the woman behind me was asked for her card, and when she was, i held my card up to the cashier and said "I did actually have one ..".

No I believe that is separate. I believe that was for spending £40 to receive £5 bonus
My mum hasn't used her Iceland card in months and she got the email so I imagine this is different

I don't have a bonus card. But my mum received her email on Dec 28th at 2pm
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be all accounts. Only selected ones I'm afraid :disappointed:
