Classic ones are equivalent to ASDA smartprice etc etc so anything more than 5p/tab is not a good deal fellow HUKD'ers.

With the classics you need to add salt and rinse aid.
Go for the all in ones

These are Rhubarb. Don't clean stuff. All in ones are the better option.

I've used these for years and they clean fine. All the people saying they are bobbins clearly just load their dishwashers with dishes caked in grime

No - they are just trying to help people realise these aren't the type of tabs where sub-10p is a bargain, because it isn't.
I used these for a while because i thought they where all-in-one tablets (IMO they're deliberately made to look like the powerball ones). When I realised they were the cheapo version I switched to the more premium ones and saw a huge improvement. And I don't wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher - kind of defeats the point of a dishwasher...

Who said anything about washing the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher??
However, most manufacturers recommend at least running a tap over extremely soiled plates, etc.. or doing a pre-rinse on bowls with dried cereals, etc...
A lot of people just chuck their dishes in all kinds of states, then blame the tabs for leaving dirt on.
I don't have any evidence to back any of this up, but it is fact!

Who ever thinks these are not good tablets clearly doesn't use their dishwasher correctly.
I have used these tablet for over 3 years and they are brilliant, they alway get my dishes clean and I don't need to add any salt as in a soft water area.
