You can't give judgement on a game this big if you aren't willing to give it a proper chance...

I'm around 25+ hours in and I have to say: this is NOT Final Fantasy. If you're a hardcore fan and have played FF6-FF9 - this is going to be a huge shock to you. The storyline is almost non-existent. 25 hours in and i've not been treated to much of the storyline whatsoever. Graphically, it's outstanding. I like the new use of chocobos; sound is ok, it's not Nobuo Umatsu's standard but it's ok. I detest the button bashing real-time stuff, give me turn-based any day.

Completed it the other day and really enjoyed it. Really, really worth a play. My only qualms are that a LOT has been cut from this game - and there's even a lot of rumours from SE staff about how big stuff was cut. Main story is like somesort of super-cut as a result and the second content is a train-ride through wider areas that were being made but got abandoned. They had snow areas that were worked on for weeks but eventually dropped. Kinda bizarre how much was chopped out (and shows) given the development time but I guess it leaves a lot to wish for. Or a ton of DLC.

yeah they said they will be adding to the game with updates and sorting the story I think they maybe had to many bugs or summit before release it took 10 years to develop but it got completely moved over to ps4 during 2013 and switched director so they basically had to start again and the engine they are using is apparently a pain in the ass to work on so I see them using unreal engine in the future then implement small things from the engine they used with xv

A good price so soon after release (to get Christmas sales no doubt). I'm still waiting for £25 or lower used myself. Want a FF like 4-9 not KH. Got KH for that. :-P

Never played a final fantasy game since I can't stand turn based combat but noticed this wasn't turn based anymore
Is it worth picking up for a final fantasy noobie such as myself?

20 Dec 16#36
Oh yes. Its very easy and even has an optional easy option. Combat is more like an action game. I am a noob too and am having lots of fun.
The day one dlc is pointless it's just a low level sword that you will throw away...

Well between now and January, I knew I should have ordered it when Amazon had it for £30. I know it's only £5 but I'm kinda broke at the moment.

That's impossible to answer properly. What's your time frame? Christmas? Of course it's eventually going to drop in price more. By Christmas? Well, no one has a clue unless they have some insider info which no one here does

No they don't anymore, not for free. Free delivery for home is second. Click and collect is first still however

If only this was in store, I doubt it's arrive before xmas if I order now. Doubt it will drop below £32 on Friday on Psn.

Couldn't you order it online and pick it up instore? I'm sure they do click and collect now.
Anyway my question is, I'm getting a PS4 for Christmas, I know it was £30.99 at Amazon not long ago, But is this the cheapest I'm going to get it or should I wait?

I didn't even make it through the initial tutorial/training on this game. Talk about boring and repetitive, and graphically not that good either.
Spend your money elsewhere on something that's actually fun, Battlefield 1 springs to mind!

Is it just me or is this game really difficult? I'm stuck in a dungeon which takes 20 minutes to plow through then I get 1 hit killed by a big bird boss. Its just after you get back the regalia, it won't let me go back and leven up either!

I guess it depends on how you play and what your used to, I'm about 50 hours in and as yet haven't been killed at all.
It helps to do side-quests and level up that way. I've been consistently way above the recommended level for story missions.

Anyone who has this check what dlc you got aside from the sword it states you get on the back as ive had the car spray in the form of a chocobo and a camera thing and it sells for about £20 just that also my mate got his from game and had dlc with a game called king something again worth over £20 so worth checking if looking at recouping some of the cost.
