Played over 50 hours so far on ps4 standard and performance has been smooth the entire time. If you check comparisons you'll see that the lower resolution makes the xb1 release noticably blurry unfortunately.
Only two bugs encountered so far which is better than any other open world game I've played.
The time I got stuck in a wall and my bros thought it was hilarious and decided to snap a photo while I was reaching for help.
The time I ended up between worlds.

It depends if you want to complete the story or get every trophy in the game. If you've been in the dungeon where you get the Sword of the Tall, there's nothing harder than that left to come. Killing the end bosses on normal difficulty is fine. There is the Adamantoise that's a level 99, that you get to kill in a quest after finishing the main story. I think I was level 60 when I did that. I don't think the level matters that much for that battle though, because although it is massive, it has predicable patterns of attack. Takes around an hour to kill that one though.

After ~80h of gameplay I can say it's worth the price. Main Quest is awesome. There are alot of Side Quest and Hunts to do. We can compare Battle system to Kingdom Hearts. There is a lot of action. Magic system is fun too. And grinding skill tree is important. Can reccomend this game.
MadonnaProject to Szuler
12 Dec 16#68
What level do you need to be to kill the end boss? I have put in 40 hours and I simply canot bear to grind more to level up anymore. I am at level 38. I just don't have the time or inclination to do it further.

Whenever Amazon cut the price of a recent release you don't get the prime discount even if it's within the two weeks after release qualifying period. They did the same thing with Watchdogs 2.
In any case this game is going to be on the PSN stores 12 days of Christmas promotion hopefully at £29.99.

I thought FFX had slightly cheesy voice acting. 13 was absolutely abysmal in my opinion, can't believe some people like that game. In a world where you've got the likes of Fallout and Witcher I just don't think there's room for FF in my world.

Yeah the oriental main character who had white parents was a bit odd but I guess it is a Japanese game so they have to have some Anime about them.
Story line is ok if you've watched Kingsglave, otherwise I'd find this a bit confusing. I'm soldiering on but I really feel like quitting and having another play through of Mass Effect

Anyone else finding this game quite boring? I have put over 30 hours into it but I seem to be doing side quest after side quest and have only got to Level 40 so far. There seems to be wayyyy too much walking/running or driving about involved. Am glad at least you can do fast travel back to the car or to a place you've been to but even then the amount of walking/running in between seems a bit excessive.
adam0812 to The_IMF
12 Dec 161#55
I agree it feels tedious and a lot of sidequests are just busy work. I'll try the finish it but it just makes me want to play 7 and 9 tbh.

12 Dec 16#59
I've heard this from friends and it put me off buying the game. Along with lack of customisation. To be honest I've never been a fan of the final fantasy series of games but I do like open world RPG's so I was thinking of giving it a crack. Gotta say though the main characters do look kinda annoying.
The_IMF
12 Dec 16#58
Yeah those were the greats! Hopefully they don't ruin the 7 remake and put a million side quests on. I feel like I HAVE to complete them all before moving on but a lot of them are so repetitive. Also, don't get me started on the stupid quests where you have to search the ground over an area looking for 5 items. Worse side quests ever.
Also don't like how time moves 1 hour a minute. Before you know it, you have to find a place to rest in the middle of a quest!
drummerdickens
12 Dec 161#57
Has final fantasy really made a decent transition to the non-text based generation? Maybe it's because I was younger but 7, 8 and 9 were fantastic (and I understand 6 is amazing, too). 10 was alright, 12 was a bit myegh, 13 was bloody awful.
I'm genuinely petrified that they'll butcher the FF7 remake.

Sell that DLC they give if you can. The blade is good for the first hour of game play and then useless after that. Amazon also gave pre order customers two other items before, not sure if they do that still. Another weapon and some camera or something.

Hmmm interesting you say about the dlc as I got it on ps4 and it had the dlc for the sword which was worth couple of £ BUT I had one with a chocobo type spray job for the car and a camera thing which sells for a fair bit over £20 and when I listed it for £15 it sold straightaway have you had this or anyone else? theres also another dlc my mates got with his called king something instead of the spray job also worth a bit.

Er no not really, I'm about 50 hours in on standard ps4 the fps is fine pretty stable throughout only place I felt it dropped a tiny bit is when you get to this one city place area a demanding spot but that'd about it the rest of the game is stable. Also go check on DF again it's pretty stable just has some random frame pacing issue at times but knowing Digital Foundry they like to exaggerate this stuff who knows maybe for more clickbait but yeah they did say ps4 pro lightweight mode is the best to play this on but overall it's good
sailo to lucyferror

The frame pacing was so annoying I went out and bought a pro. You literally can't go 15 seconds without some choppiness. More power to you if you're not sensitive to this but digital foundry definitely did not exaggerate this issue. The high mode on pro is even worse and almost unplayable to me.

I had it originally on the Xbox One, completed and ended up getting the deluxe edition for the PS4 because I absolutely loved the game. I encountered a few issues during 75 hours of play on PS4, including a weird one where I was stuck behind an invisible rock getting hammered by daemons. I just reloaded the save and it was fine. I can't imagine we will ever see any open world games without little glitches like that. The other day I was trying to escape the 5O in GTA V and everywhere I drove the ground turned white. I've never seen that before up until then. And who hasn't seen things floating in Skyrim by now?
Fun game. Buy it. Laugh at any glitches as none of them make it unplayable.

Had quite a few major issues with the Xbox version ladies and gents falling through the floor, getting stuck in a gravity attack, unkillable enemies etc unless your desperate I would wait until they release a patch or 2. I will advise people to stay clear of this game for the next 6 maybe 8 months.
The reason is as it's unfinished and still got a few bugs. The developers plan to add stuff in later in 2017 so when it's finished then get it and it probably be cheaper too.
