I have about 4/5 hours on this and have managed to actually complete just one delivery mission, and it is awesome, every time you find out a little bit more about the controls and the game, i feel at this rate by the time i master the game i will actually be able to pilot a ship through space. lol

The only way I can think is that if you can't land on planets, you don't have horizons. Also when at a station, you'll see a crew lounge in the station services menu if you have it.

I'm slowly getting back into it, although the air was blue having spent the best part of half an hour in Training Mode trying to dock my ship. The tutorials could do with a little more clarity when the player gets stuck; although youtube/google to the rescue.
It's Elite and what I expected with a steep learning curve, compared to games like COD of just pick up a gun and shoot.

Just buy the core game for another 10 quid, that with the season pass basically gives you the deluxe editin, same as if you spend 20 quid on that version, all works out the same.
Illusionary
31 Dec 16#59
That's not the "core game", but rather a PvP offshoot of the main game.
disciple
31 Dec 16#58
I don't think it is.
The base game is £10 as mentioned above.
There's "Elite Dangerous: Arena" which is an arena shooter for £4.79.
It's not the open world Elite Dangerous game being talked about here, just a PvP thing like Quake Arena but in ships.

I have pc version, really enjoy it. Updates over the years have added content (combat also harder nowadays). PC version plays well with moonlight and trinus over Google cardboard, almost made me splash out on a vive.

It's really, really good, IMHO. I've not played NMS, but from what I gather ED has a lot more depth to it. Unlike NMS you can't disembark from your ship, but like NMS the game is a work in progress, and there are some very impressive features (like FPS on-foot combat) in the pipeline.

A friend tests games. He played the original Elite, backed this on Kickstarter. I've not heard anything bad about it from him, only positive. The bits I've played have been awesome. It's the polar opposite to No Mans Sky.

Yes the title says "Elite Dangerous (Xbox One) £10.00" so i was expecting to find the game for ten quid like the title says
But The link in the OP is for:
Elite Dangerous: Horizons Season Pass - £10
So bought that thinking it was the game like the title says
Turns out you have to actually already own the game so its not Elite Dangerous (Xbox One) £10.00
Like the title says
you have to buy the Game itself or buy the Deluxe edition
Would of been a better option to of linked the game, not the season pass

I was too young for Elite, but just right for X2 and X3, so while I wanted to like this game; it's got such a mountain to climb by comparison.
Every gameplay vid, there's not much happening.
Looks beautiful and rightly shows up egosoft's offerings; but if you've played X2, you'll know what I'm getting at.
100's of ships vs half a dozen.
Congested systems vs empty universe.
Various alien species vs humans/more humans.
Maybe it's just me, heat added anyways.
Like I said, worth a tenner to try it out.
And if people don't think it looks dull and repetitive, perhaps dull and repetitive is what you find enjoyable; e.g. I find masochism enjoyable, so basically spending time with the wife. Lol

30 Dec 162#2

I've only got 80 hours or so, I find taking missions that involve blowing up x amount of ships the best, or buy a scanner and get your ar$e over to the nearest conflict zone. Having a wingman is a huge help!
It's a season pass to get you access to future game updates, not to play. So even when it's over you will still have access to all the game features up to and including 2.4. It's currently at 2.2
Yeap, just bought it because at least we will never have to worry about the cassette tape breaking and losing our game saves any more. Lol

The season pass is permanent, as with the vast majority of game season passes. The only reason they're called 'season' passes is because it was a piece of pre-existing terminology from sports etc. In the context of game expansions 'season' doesn't imply temporary.
