I never buy EA games day 1 anymore. I just buy EA access and the new games wll be added to the vault like within 1 year. If you're in no hurry to play them day 1 this is the way to go imo.

Remember you need the Live subscription to play online ( if you are getting the Live subscription. get the Gold) but if not bothered about online play, just get EA access, it`s cheap at the moment, will not last long.
Mind you Battlefield is among the games, but not Cod Of War.

I think you covered it but it basically means you set up your own Xbox account on their console using your e-dress. You then set the console as your 'home' console in the settings. This will mean that other accounts on the console (ie your son's) can access your games. You can even set their accounts as 'child' accounts so you can put in restrictions/supervise how they use the console.
I use this sharing system with my nephew; his Xbox is designated my 'home' device. It means any of the games I then buy and install on my device at my actual home can then be accessed and played on his console, and from his own account (so gamerpoints etc are all his own).

As I understand it, your XBox account/profile can be added to any number of consoles but one of them is designated as 'home'. On the 'home' one, all your content/subscriptions can be shared by all the profiles on that Xbox. It is the same method that can be used to share downloaded content across two consoles thus halfing the price of download games providing both you and the other person both want it of course :wink:
Someone will be able to rephrase the above better.
If you only have 1 XBox between all of you then you just need to add your XBox account to it and, as I understand it, all the profiles will be able to make use of the 1 EA Access subscription

I got an Xbox One just over a week ago but it's still unopened and didn't intend to set it up for another week but stupidly I activated the code once I received it. :disappointed:

Bought the code and redeemed from my phone entering my own email address instead of the one my boys use on their Xbox. So when they go to EA it says 'code already redeemed'!!!
Contacted xboxsupport and they say they can't help! I have to buy another subscription!!

Not at the moment but there are rumours it could happen. Hopefully the more pressure PS4 owners put on Sony then they will have to reverse their decision. In the past Sony rejected EA Access while Microsoft accepted.

Unfortunately im having a issue redeeming my code. Tried twice on the console store but keep getting a error message. I haven't mistyped it as it does recognise it as ea access 12 months. The issue comes when i actually redeem it. Am concerned that it might be a region issue as i normally get my sub via Hungary as its cheaper so wonder if this is somehow incompatible?

Yeah I'd seen that. I've got 80mbps but not everyone does and I know when got mine there was a fairly large update and it still took a while (whatever your download speeds it's still writing data to a 5400rpm HDD) overall it's good new though because downloading the Halo collection took ages!

MS released a small update for Xbox One that started rolling out on the 14th which increases download speeds by up to up to 80%.

The only that bothers me is the DLC for games, like Battlefront, I never intend to buy the full game if i have EA Access but i don't want to pay loads of dlc. My membership for EA access runs out 25th Jan, already finished Mass Effect, Battlefield 4, demo of Battlefield 1, half way through the single player on Hardline, the new Mirrors Edge and done loads of Battlefront, got plenty of other games to finish so will prob wait til Battlefield 1 is added which will prob be this time next year, these deals seem to happen regularly with the odd free weekend over the course of the year.

Also for anyone that hasn't bought fifa 17 but is considering and in no hurry, buy this ea access for 12 months, fifa 17 will be added to ea access around march/april.
I never buy EA games day 1 anymore. I just buy EA access and the new games wll be added to the vault like within 1 year. If you're in no hurry to play them day 1 this is the way to go imo.

Remember you need the Live subscription to play online ( if you are getting the Live subscription. get the Gold) but if not bothered about online play, just get EA access, it`s cheap at the moment, will not last long.
Mind you Battlefield is among the games, but not Cod Of War.

It is definitely worth it to buy the Gold Live and if your boy( being boys) will love you having the EA Access as well, was on a deal here for around £18 pounds, as you need Gold Live to pay EA Access game online.

I have an account already and my son is getting the console for Xmas.
My console is the "home" console, with my profile linked to his Live Gold.
However with EA, there are likely to be times where we are both playing games at the same time...

I use this sharing system with my nephew; his Xbox is designated my 'home' device. It means any of the games I then buy and install on my device at my actual home can then be accessed and played on his console, and from his own account (so gamerpoints etc are all his own).
Someone will be able to rephrase the above better.
If you only have 1 XBox between all of you then you just need to add your XBox account to it and, as I understand it, all the profiles will be able to make use of the 1 EA Access subscription

I got an Xbox One just over a week ago but it's still unopened and didn't intend to set it up for another week but stupidly I activated the code once I received it. :disappointed:

Bought the code and redeemed from my phone entering my own email address instead of the one my boys use on their Xbox. So when they go to EA it says 'code already redeemed'!!!
Contacted xboxsupport and they say they can't help! I have to buy another subscription!!

My 10 yr old is getting an XBox One for Christmas but it will be setup with an accont for me as well; just like XBox Live presumably I can enter the EA Access code under my account but he will still be able to play the EA games I download right ?
I just bought another year at this knock down price, now my Microsoft account page tells me my EA Access runs til 08/09/2018.
I first stacked them in September 2015.

I know what your saying about not buying on release day but if the example of Fifa17 becoming available in March is the standard wait time then doesn't seen great

Edit: Has now successfully been redeemed. They had to cancel my previous subscription from hungary that was still listed as Pending payment on the account

Unfortunately im having a issue redeeming my code. Tried twice on the console store but keep getting a error message. I haven't mistyped it as it does recognise it as ea access 12 months. The issue comes when i actually redeem it. Am concerned that it might be a region issue as i normally get my sub via Hungary as its cheaper so wonder if this is somehow incompatible?
Can anyone who has previously bought ea access through the Hungary method confirm if this works for them please?

Maybe some people like to dip in and out of it and in those cases, I guess that suits. That's where CD Keys £1.50 a month codes come in...

Xbox live gold is a means to play your purchased copy of an xbox one game, on line with others who have the same game or games as you.
Be careful if buying Xbox credit to buy this. You cant.
On the xbox store you either have to pay with card or paypal, or buy a EA access card like the one in this deal.
I bought £20 xbox credit and now I cant use it to buy ea access.
