For some reason when I attach my iPhone 7 it will not play iTunes films. Something's about protection, duet support said app cannot support, strange. Other than that great find

I'd have said Plex is a much better choice for any tablet anyway (assuming you already have a HTPC or other computer that can act as the main server)

This works for quite high resolutions when I use it with my work laptop running windows 7 and iPad pro 12" I.e. 2048 x 15xx or something. It does seem a bit laggy though (although not sure if it's due to my work laptop not being that high spec)
Good software though as I can use a second screen for work etc.

Looks like there are plenty of people on the web with same problem & all seem to have different solutions. Might be worth uninstalling & reinstalling Kodi while using windows on your iPad or fiddling with the full screen window options in Kodi.
Sorry to OP if this is all off topic.

Thanks, really appreciative of your input.
Unfortunately even after these very good quality instructions I still get unable to create GUI. Existing :disappointed:..
Everything else works and is great, just not the only program I want, lol.. marvellous isn't it...

"Astropad" is another app if you are more of an artist and want to use your iPad like a cintiq but is mac only.

The GUI fault is caused multiple instances of Kodi trying to run at the same time & the sound issues are driver related. Both are usually rectified by simply signing out of windows & then signing back in on your iPad or if that doesn't work try restarting your pc (& then signing in on your iPad only leaving your computer monitor off.)
It should work then hopefully.

Tried this and it's not opening Kodi?
Says unable to create GUI so I'm stuck?
Also there's no sound out of the ipad? Haven't worked that out either?.
All for Kodi on an ipad impossible, I hate Apple sometimes..

Does anyone know if it works both ways- does it also give touch access to the iMac or Macbook via the iPad? And if so, is it pressure-sensitive in Photoshop? If it does it would make Wacom tablets like the Cintiq obsolete.

That's great, thank you very much..
Sounds complicated but certainly give it a go. Thanks...

Wicked price! I paid in full long ago and have not regretted it.
If you travel for work and bring your iPad, this is a no brainer at the price of lunch. Hotel wifi is spotty most of the time so cannot rely on remote desktop/vnc solutions. And the TV is often too far or does not support high resolution.

I have been trying for ages to get Kodi on my ipad (I can't do it) can I use this to mirror the Kodi from my win pc to ipad wirelessly?...

If you're using a pro version of Windows then get the free Microsoft Remote Desktop Client app for your iPad (from the Apple App Store) & enable remote access on your PC. You'll then have a fully functioning windows desktop on your iPad with touchscreen support. Good way of getting Kodi or any other Windows software on an iPad or even an iPhone. Works very well.

Was a little strange with how it decided to use the iPad screen as primary, but once I tweaked the settings it worked quite well! Using MBP and iPad Air
Just a heads up, if you're running an SLi setup n your Windows 10 PC then this app is not fully compatible. I just found out the hard way. It causes a constant boot loop which requires a restore point to fix.

I tried this for the first time whilst working from home, and was faultless. No discernable lag at all, even on a Windows PC! I was thinking the same about a larger iPad Pro, but not sure how I'd get that one past the missus? Maybe my 50th birthday present next year

Interested to try this, back in the day air display was really laggy.
Wonder if it'll allow retina resolution on my 2011 iMac and iPad Pro - since the iMac doesn't natively support those resolutions.

Anyone using this on Windows? I've read that the resolution is limited to 1024x768, is this true?

Hmm interesting. One of the reviews quoted in the description on the App Store mentions "true retina resolution" so it must be achievable, but not yet found confirmation if that is limited to Mac.

Heat added! Was looking at this a while ago and although I have no issue with paying the original amount I didn't think i needed it enough at the time to make it worthwhile. Also I was sort of hoping there'd be audio through it too - but a reply from the devs explained it wasn't in the current timeline. But it certainly looked exceptional. At this price however I think I might just have to take a punt. Thanks OP for the heads up
