Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the Lord Regent has been vanquished and the dreaded Rat Plague has passed into history. An otherworldly usurper has seized the throne from Empress Emily Kaldwin, leaving the fate of the Isles hanging in the balance. As either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca – a once-dazzling coastal city that holds the key to restoring Emily to power. Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2, the highly anticipated follow up to Arkane Studios’ 2012 Game of the Year! Explore a world unlike any other as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano - both powerful assassins with their own unique set of supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets. Define your own playstyle by blending immersive first-person action, assassination, stealth, mobility and the game’s brutal combat system. Combine the tools at your disposal to creatively eliminate your enemies whether you choose to pursue them unseen or ruthlessly attack head on with weapons drawn. Show no mercy and leave chaos in your wake or find a more subtle way to eliminate your targets. More than ever the choices you make will determine the outcome of each mission, and ultimately the game.

Very underrated?
It was a massive game that got great reviews. Were you in a coma in October 2012?
Why are people voting cold? This was 410+ a few hours ago and now it's dropped to 280. I expected this to go scorching. Probably still will.

A lot of games just aren't holding price this season. The publishers should realise that people can only spend a certain amount of time and money on games on the holiday season. They really need to better spread releases out during the year.

Whole gaming industry has taking a massive hit in revenue right across the board since austerity came in in 2008.
Revenue has almost halved despite all sorts of 'improvements' to the product.
It's quite obvious that peeps no longer have the cash they did pre-2008, and investors are seeing far lower dividends.
They tried to fill the gap by upping prices, but it's backfired big time and most are embarking on reduced prices to make the figures look better for investors. i.e. number of units sold rather than price sold at, in order to make claim 'game is popular'.
great price for a great game, I'd be very surprised if there's a dishonored 3 in the pipeline looking at the rate that this price dropped, really tough for developers these days.

Good to see the PC version available under £20 again. I'm not surprised if sales are poor if PC games are being sold these days at £30+ and released with performance issues - as there's no chance for re-sale - although performance issues seem to be creeping into console games too.

Seems like battlefield is the only title of late that hasn't dropped in price big time this year.

Games go so cheap nowadays you would have to be a mug to buy day 1 at full price. This game literally came out 3 weeks ago and already half price.

Not exactly your normal price drop though, this is a Game Christmas offer, it's going to go back up.
FYI - you can get the limited edition from shopto which includes the first game for £29.86

Good price. Will there be any DLC as with the original though? I'm tempted to wait to see if there will be a game of the year edition.

no it will drop again most likely, games brought out in oct/nov always drop to half price unless its something like GTA, dishonoured made all the money its gonna make at that higher price and its going to be around £20 within the next month i can assure you it wont go back up to £30 or above. not to mention it was a pretty disappointing game compared to the first and the hype is dead from what i can see.

Thing is there hasn't been improvements they have just found more and more ways to get money out of people like pulling crap out of the games and calling it dlc, then charging to play online when you didn't have to on the ps3, Imo games in the last 10 years have been clones of each other there is no innovation or anyone willing to try anything different.

10 Dec 16#31
I said its not exactly a normal price drop its a Christmas offer, it will not stick at that price at Game, in the next couple of days its going to go back up, the same as all the deals they've had on their front page all week.
A normal price drop is when it drops and stays at that price normally across all retailers, which will definitely happen at some point including at Game.
darkspace100
10 Dec 161#32
Theres no chance this is going back up in price especially as its a linear game with no multiplayer. If anything I expect this to go even cheaper. These price drops only a few weeks after release hasn't just happened.

I also think people are just bored of this gens consoles. At the start of this gen people were so hyped yet companies just kept shoving remasters, indies and the occasional underwelming AAA game at us and now they are paying the price. I know for me I dont buy many games as I used to especially as games like Titanfall 2, GTA online, Rocket League etc keep me satisfied.

This game is OK. Tbh, I've found it quite dull compared with the first one (which I adored) and I haven't really made the time to play it much since I got it.
Spark
10 Dec 162#35
I'm not bored with this gen's consoles, I'm **** off with them. Final Fantasy 15 runs like garbage unless you are willing to shell out for a PS4 Pro and even then the best you can hope for is 1080p30 right now. The performance level of these machines has been appalling overall and I'm really not surprised that more people, especially gamers in their 20's and above, are jumping back to the PC these days.

Game pricing is a little weird this time of year -- there's more discounting / competition on console games especially as they want to sell consoles. People, especially if they have any sort of backlog, are bonkers paying £25+ for PC games - there's no resale and prices will always drop - although it's not stopping people posting £30+ "deals" as if they are bargains.
4Real2016
10 Dec 16#37
Again this is a Christmas deal, GTA V lowered for two days at Game then went back to the normal £29, just like all the other countless deals they've had on and off since black Friday. These are seasonal deals not out of season price drops, why you cant tell the difference is beyond me.
When it goes back to £29 in a couple days what you going to say?

Obviously none of us know what he's going to say, but if he said something like; "It's going to go back down again, and will probably be around £10 this time next year." - then he'd probably be 100% correct.
