I have just filled out an on-line form with my complaint to citizen advice.

How can they cancel an order by saying it is discontinued and then phone you up and try to sell the same chairs at a higher price, crazy.

Worldstores have told me the chairs have been discontinued, and the suppliers did not inform them until 10:30, I can purchase the new Krista bonded leather leathers for an extra £579.

What is the difference between the old bonded leather brown Krista chairs and the new ones that came out into stock this morning?

The following is in their T&Cs, so why don't they come clean and admit they've got the price wrong instead of this discontinued rubbish which is obviously a lie!

"While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled."

Just gave them a call and the 10 chairs I had coming on Saturday are discontinued - so refund in 3-5 days. Half expected it. However great find for those that got it x (Roma Fabric Dining Chair)

They have been on the phone for 45 mins, I have emailed Shankar to see what the difference is. I was told yesterday by Worldstores that my ordered would be delivered today.
I can't believe what I was hearing, yesterday my order was £100.79, but due to unforeseen circumstances with the supplier discontinuing Krista chair at 10.30am, my delivery was cancelled and if I want to order the new Krista the price would be
£679.92. It's the sort of thing that would make Watchdog viewers laugh

That's totally unacceptable of them. They should give you those chairs if they have same name! They've clearly realised they will make a huge loss if they honour everyone's orders as their suppliers price is more than the order price!

I have just had Worldstores on the phone, advising me of the new price. The krista chairs have been discontinued, however I can buy them at the new price of £84.99 EACH.
They can't tell me what has changed, only the product code and the price.

Has anyone not received a cancellation for the Krista chairs? Mine are due for delivery on Saturday and heard nothing.

I see someone has left a review which probably relates to these chairs on Trustpilot - link to review. Also notice that Luchia copies & pastes the same reply all day long :laughing:

That is exactly what I have emailed Worldstores about.
I was putting another ordered through, but stopped at payment stage. The phone rang, it was Louisa from Worldstores enquiring if I have a problem with the payment stage, as I had not purchased them. I then proceeded to tell her the saga.
She is going to speak with the furniture dept about this and get back to me. I told her that this is the same chair, only a different price!

As advised above the team that deal with the website are currently changing the product lead times to reflect any delays or stock issues. I apologise you were misinformed by customer services but as advised the date is constantly being rebooked on the order as there is a delay. I believe you have just simply been advised of the date without the issue being looked into. We will investigate this further with the relevant department as the dates provided to you by customer services are not correct.

I can confirm that it is not the item we are experiencing issues with but it is the supplier themselves. Therefore if we were to place an order for the chairs in black we would be in the same position in terms of a dispatch and delivery date. Our website team are currently updating the website to reflect this. Due to the issue with the order and the delay the system will continue to update the day of choice until it has been resolved which is possibly why you have been updated this by James. I guess anyone ordered Padstow can expect delivery (I ordered on 02/01 and had it delivered 04/01) as it has Next Day delivery option, indicating they have stock. I initially ordered Agra but the delivery date is over a week away, clearly no stock. So I cancelled and reordered Padstow.

I emailed this morning using their on-line query form and got an almost immediate response confirming that delivery is on schedule for Saturday and that I will be contacted approx an hour before delivery. Did anyway have chairs delivered? I'm very dissapointed and suspicious about this company. Could be a scam to get ure credit card details and add you to their database (which they could resell). I have cancelled and they can't confirm when my money will be returned. Keep an eye on your credit card statement and consider cancelling your card once your money has been returned.

Had the misfortune of ordering a bed from these guys last year. Delivery service is disgraceful & customer service non-existent. Suggest you check out reviews on them (wish I had done before ordering). It's only a bargain if you actually receive it. It's a definite sub zero from me.

Such a shame that there are no white ones in the sales, I could do with an upgrade on the ones I've got :disappointed:

I had to try quite a few times, for some reason at times the price was wrong like each chair £12.80 it didn't let me put them through until they were £14 per chair but the discount code also worked. Don't try and pay with paypal as it doesn't work. Could try emptying your basket and reselecting them, it worked for me and quidco also tracked.

How did you manage to order them? Everytime I check out the pink box to pay is there and as I enter my details it goes saying they are not in stock
