Have an older version for about 4 years now, love it!

What was wrong with it? I was looking at the Dell U2412M but this seems to be the replacement that is better with the U2412M reviewing very well. I'm going to check some reviews of the U2415 but I don't expect there to be any problems.
However we have dual screens on every computer and the colour calibration on both monitors is shocking! so don't expect to be able to see the same colours even with the same settings.

1920×1200 Resolution, for photo editing?

16:10 ratio is better for Excel and CAD in my opinion.

For real work the 16:10 ratio is much nicer. 16:9 is only better for movie watching and games that don't have flexible resolution.

This is now out of stock. Wondering whether this was new as the site says they sell refurbished and if you look at this specific item, it doesn't say it is new.

Just checked with the seller this is dell refurbished to new monitor only difference is warranty which is one year. but as per the seller they get their products directly from dell.

I see you have edited your original post. Clearly not sure what I'm getting now, don't think I'd have put the order in had I read this.

They had one back in stock so I called them to find out about the stock. Apparently these are cancelled orders that were not dispatched that this company take from Dell. They open them to check them over and they then provide you with a 1 year RTB warranty themselves. I've taken a punt on this as I was looking at the U2412M which this has replaced.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Dell's Ultrasharp monitors have the USP of coming specially colour calibrated from the factory?

This particular model even more so. Reviews state that the calibration report comes in the box and the setup is very good from the factory.

i have two brands new monitors from dell. they came with the sheet from the factory. they are not the same any fool can see it. dell didn't want to know when I raised this with them.

Wasn't implying you were lying, just saying how it should be. Do you have this monitor or a different one? I've read that you may need to install a program so that the GPU is set up correctly, might not be the monitors fault.

You can adjust quiet a bit on these and with the right hardware you can create a new ICC profile to correct any faults.
I've owned the U2414H (1920x1080) for a long time and cant fault it, the factory calibration on sRGB was pretty accurate on mine.

Mine turned up yesterday. Not opened it yet but hope to have a look at it today or tomorrow. I'm by no means a monitor expert, but happy to post up impressions vs the Philips 1080p monitor I'm currently using (which must be at least 5 years old) if anyone is interested.

In our office we use the Dells or Samsung who, also make a great work monitor https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-S24E650BW-24-Inch-Monitor-Black/dp/B00X9FA7OC/ref=pd_lpo_147_tr_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FJW5KMZDNW0YK99QNBDW
