Personally thought the 3 DLC's were amazing. Worth the £11.99 alone.

ergh. I'd already bought this version for PC when i had posted this deal. but thought id buy it again for ps4.. but,. its so annoying. seriously. i dont see why the developers made this version. its like they saw the parts that were slightly easy in play throughs on youtube and decided to make them stupidly frustrating. like the Iron Keep... Hit boxes are fuking awful. also. they actually lowered the graphics in certain areas. it makes no sense. whatever.. i love Dark Souls. and loved DS2 (original). but.. ****.. this is bad.

Played bloodborne and loved it. Never played any of the dark souls games, is it possible to jump in with this one and enjoy it?

This is the worst of the series but yes.

This is the worst of the trilogy but still a good game in its own right.

Yes but Dark Souls series may seem a little slower to you. Same combat but Bloodborne is a little more last paste. After playing Bloodborne I jumped onto DS2 and it just felt so much easier due to the slower pace.

I recently started playing this again, and really got into it this time. As others have said, it's not the best in the franchise but that makes it sound like a bad game.
It isn't.
It's just the others are so held in high regard that this one is disliked by a few. It is still a great game in it's own right. Some of the lore of the first game links over, but it's not really linked to it like Dark Souls 3 is, so can be played as a standalone. Fantastic price, fantastic game. You'll get your monies worth.
Nothing will beat that first moment of importing Demons Souls though when nobody had heard of it. Although Bloodborne comes seriously close.
I didn't like the parry/riposte mechanic in Dark Souls 2.

The slow combat and slow regeneration and bizarre hit boxes alone make Dark Souls 2 the worst in the franchise. Add in forgettable bosses (excluding DLC bosses) and a linear barren world and you are on a hiding to nothing.

So could anyone tell me what and how many dlc's are included in this deal? I have the base game but would like to purchase the downloadable content to add to it.

this includes 3 dlc. they. in my opinion are , as a whole, nearly better than the base game. Be aware that scholar of the first sin moves a lot of items about and changes enemy locations. which I could not really get into, because I had started to speed run the game. as good of deal this is. if you have the base game for ps3 or PC. I'd personally try and find a deal for the season pass and get the dlc that way. but if you want a new challenge. go for this. :-)

This is the first souls games I played and loved it - the DLC is brilliant and 10x harder then the rest of the game. Well worth the price.

A great game and a great price. Hopefully this will lead to more players and even more jolly cooperation!
