You'd need to check out a review for that, as I don't own a device with that SOC. I did have a Doogee 310 with 6572 chipset and the GPS was fine on that and that was quite a bit older than this. Check out banggood or gearbest for an idea of what to expect.

This has the ubiquitous mediatek mt6580, which scores about 20k. This is within 10% of moto e gen 2.
Pretty decent, especially with 16GB of storage.

1.5GB on that, which can make a fair bit of difference over 1GB.

I got a Samsung Galaxy A3 as a back up I don't think it's got 2gigs of ram and the thing runs smooth and I've got Facebook and WhatsApp Instagram an da rest and I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 as my main phone I think it all comes down to how the manufacturer sets up da phone remember iPhones ain't had no mad set of of ram on a lot of the phones and they ran ok if you wanna use your phone for mad games the n the ram thing will come in handy plus Android now hibernate lots of the apps
i can underatand peoplw being hesitant but my daughter has had this for a month now and it's very fast, the camera is fantasic also. only snag is battery life but she like most teens does use it a lot.... its a great phone

Great value for the price but I think 2gb RAM is the minimum required these days.
Not exactly the 'minimum required'. You can get by fine with 1GB of ram as long as you have relatively modest needs but it's nice to have an extra gigabyte.

Are you seriously comparing this to an iPhone or other Samsung flagship phone?

We only recently got 4g, and don't really notice the difference! Im after a phone for an 11 year old, this seems alright for the money to me.

Agreed. Reasonable spec, but let down by 1GB RAM.
I'd personally avoid a Mediatek processor if you're looking to do any AR/VR (Google Cardboard, Pokemon Go etc.) as none I've tried have a gyroscope. If anyone has this phone, could you try a free download like Sensorbox and test it to confirm?

People who are saying not enough ram for modern android, what about if you don't use social media, is it up to spec then?

Yes. Unless it's a Motorola g4 play. In which case you heat up the deal to 1000° (as in last week's deal)

How are the specs good? No 4g
Only one gb ram. This is £59.97 down the drain.

I brought a Lenovo B for £40 from here not long ago from O2, would of got this if I known my version wasn't dual SIM as the model is normally! Is this stock Android not a OEM based version?

Bought one 3 months ago and great value. I think I paid around £52 on ebay. I have had no issues with it. Recommended

Part of Buy It Direct. Same company as Laptops Direct, Appliances Direct etc.

Makes you wonder how some of the manufacturers can justify the price they charge for their phones, when the core technology (is a shell, screen, processor, memory, 3G radio circuitry, audio bits etc) can be sold for a profit at this price.

No one would ever queue up for a Cubot like they do for an iPhone, marketing doesn't come cheap.

The only negative aspect is that video replay is jerky, otherwise it is excellent.

The 1gb RAM is not enough. You really need 2gb for Android 6 or apps like Facebook and Messenger will continuously stop working. Pay the £20 extra for one with 2gb. I recommend the Cubot Echo instead.

Not voting either way, but it's the same price (or cheaper) elsewhere. 20p cheaper at Amazon if you want it in gold, for example, and they have it in white for the same price as this deal.
Not sure I'd go for less than 2GB ram these days, tbh.

It has 2GB RAM and so far is really quite excellent with good battery life and even comes with a case and fitted screen protector!
...bit cheaper here
