I generally find the cheapo aldi ground stuff as good as this. I'm a coffee snob all things considered I do care how it tastes, but it's just nothing special

Great price, but afraid the actual coffee is pretty awful, it tastes like it was roasted at least a year ago. Probably because it is

I'd watched the tricks of the restaurant trade on CH4 a couple of weeks back, had a little section regarding all the top coffee outlets. Costa, Starbucks, Cafe Nero etc.
Although not a good "scientific study" as it was only based on about 4 people it was an interesting find. It shown that loyal customers to a particular brand, couldn't tell the difference. One person picked a brand they disliked, as tasting better than the brand they loved.
Give other like for like coffees a try, I personally like all of them but for the home I just opt for good old regular Aldi beans... No difference at all, and cheaper than this "offer".
Heat added for this though, it's cheap for what it normally is. Which after all, is what this site is all about.
