This is an amazing keyboard at an even more amazing price.
I have this exact one. I bought it in October from Amazon for a lot more than this. It is currently £126.99 on Amazon with Prime.

I don't think I've ever used a keyboard that costs more than £10. What's the big deal? (I'm genuinely curious)

Seen the same style mechanical keyboard online line for half the price. Www.ripgaming.co.uk

It's all only money.
Money buys you happiness.

You're then spending even more money on that over the corsair though

You can get gel pads, which are comfier than those clip-ons.
There are solutions to any problem, modular keyboards seem pretty logical to me.

You could just shift your keyboard very slightly to the left, or up the sensitivity on your mouse. Or use a bigger desk. My desk is tiny but i have more than enough room for my mouse with my strafe rgb silent. With gaming mice sensitivities these days they barely require much actual physical movement.
I believe you also don't get the ability to attach a wrist rest pad with the asus one, whereas corsairs come with clip-on ones which are comfy.

My requirements:
I use the number pad exclusively for typing numbers. The top row numbers are mapped to opposite shift for me (no shift for punctuation/symbols). This rules out those smaller models without a number pad at all.
If gaming, I want to maximise the mouse room. Being able to detach the number pad is a big plus, but with the Claymore you don't even need to lose it, you can just attach it on the opposite side (a setup that I may try full-time and get used to). I could even program the numbers to be macros inside a particular application if I wanted. They would then be in the usual position where your macros would be.
Your requirements may vary, and aesthetics are subjective.

You have a very strange way of justifying things. To me the detachable keypad looks really tacky. It doesn't look right attached at all, whereas the corsair looks solid from an aesthetics point of view - like a complete unit.

Excellent deal, I bought this a few months ago in MX Silent, was hesitant - but never looked back.

Amazon have price matched for those that would rather get from there.

would it be better to go for the browns or the red if I mainly used for gaming

Reds are mainly seen as a gaming switch.

I have that one, it's great and red keys are amazing. If you had the money I would go for OP's one though, much better and has browns
Plus, I'd find a deal price before buying. Let's argue "£150".
How long are you going to own the keyboard for?
At least 5 years. My current (cheap, unbranded, non-mechanical) one has been going for 8 years, and all the keys still work fine.
How many hours do you use it for?
I mostly work on mine, plus game. Average about 8 hours a day.
5 years @ 8 hours (conservative estimates) = 14,600 hours
£150 / 14,600 = 1p
Am I happy to pay 1p per hour to use a high quality flashy keyboard?
Yes. Yes, I am. And that's not even taking into consideration the resale value.

You're torn between paying £100 and £200 for a keyboard? And £50 of that is purely for the numberpad? Are you broken?
The detachable/side-swappable keypad is a major plus, and being able to sync the LEDs with the motherboard and graphics card is fancy. Though the K70 has better sounding "MX Speed" switches, which the Claymore doesn't option for (albeit, I've never tried them).

Although I can't fathom the desire to spend this much on a keyboard, this deal gets heat from me.

Did I get a good deal on a K70 RGB with Cherry Reds for £59.97 then ?
Deal has expired now but I have one for sale atm at the trade forum if anyone is interested. FYI it's the silent keys version.

Sorry but no I don't. I got 20% off the Warehouse price. It's 'as new' condition so keep your eye open on Amazon.

MX Brown best all round switches for typing/gaming, for purely gaming probably best to buy the MX Red keyboards. YT

A mechanical keyboard doesn't feel like typing on a sponge. Also blue switches make a lovely clicking noise.

I just bought a K70 Lux RGB from Amazon Warehouse for £107. It has MX Brown keys which are a good compromise between the Reds (gaming) and Blues (typing). It's a very good keyboard.

Also got the Silent version for £60. Ideally I'd go for the Browns and I've voted this hot, but even still - can't justify the almost double cost.
(Actually, one other thing - if my keyboard is "silent", I dread to think how noisy other mechanicals must be!)

Got that deal myself and is way quieter than a normal mechanical keyboard.

Great price. Went for the K70 Lux after trying both as I thought it felt much better and higher quality. These have QC issues whereby the logo peels off etc.

I have this keyboard bought a couple months ago from Game for £60. But I prefer Logitech g610 (brown keys) which is great for both gaming and general daily use.

Great keyboard, I paid £59 for my silent version as Game had a deal on a few months back. Heat added as its still the cheapest price.

I got my nephew the strafe mx silent rgb a month or so ago from that game deal. Lovely keyboard. I also had a k70 non rgb I got for him prior to the game deal that I still had in the box (this is the LUX I think). But the layout is rubbish and the key labels are not nearly as clear. I sold that on ebay. Was going to keep it for myself but the function keys are too close to the number keys and I kept pressing f12 instead of backspace. Just didn't like it half as much as the strafe, with or without aluminium.
