For the 9th year in a row, we’re bringing back our Designated Driver scheme – run in partnership with the Department for Transport’s THINK! Drink Drive campaign – which rewards people who volunteer to do the driving over the festive period, while abstaining from alcohol.
Our Designated Driver scheme is how we say thanks to all of you who help your friends and family get home safely during Christmas and New Year's – with a special ‘buy one, get one free’ offer on soft drinks pubs, bars and restaurants all across the country, including many rural locations.
Map: https://www.cocacola.co.uk/coca-cola/designateddriver/
Slightly different in Ireland where drivers can get Two Free Drinks with a voucher downloaded from the Irish site.
Ireland Designated Driver Link: http://designateddriver.ie/.
Great deal if you live in Ireland where over 1000 pubs and restaurants are taking part. Only 360 pubs taking part elsewhere.

There are no locations near me - and I always drive as I'd rather be in control. Damn annoying that that a watered down coke in these places is almost as expensive as drinking alcohol.

I would sooner drink tap water than this tooth rotting stuff.

All the comments say it's rubbish but the heat rises.
I also think overpriced soft drinks are a very poor incentive. And even at buy one get one free they are still a massive con.
A better offer if you have a named driver would be to get a free coke with every alcoholic drink bought. Then the beer drinker gains nothing but the driver drinks for free

Locations seem considerably reduced from previous years, certainly in my area anyway. Great initiative though.

Given the tiny number of participating pubs compared to last year I think they would have been better off dropping it than running what is in effect a useless promotion that the majority of people can't access.

Thats the way it used to be! The nominated driver gets a free soft drink for another traveller buying an alcoholic drink. Now its not really an incentive but still heat being added for the incentive!
Come on Coca-Cola and step up to the plate!

Looks like 360 pubs in England and Scotland taking part, very strange as the Irish site says they have over 1000 pubs and restaurants taking part.
None in Wales, so not much good to me, wonder if that's something to do with the Welsh assembley not supporting this campagin.

A multinational company making a tiny gesture to give away 2-3p worth of syrup when you spend £2 or so buying an overpriced soft drink from the same company. This company has ruined the health of millions of people worldwide, and this is the best it can do by way of redress.

Completely pathetic. One pub in the whole of Cornwall is participating. Coca Cola expect pubs to fund most of this themselves, whole thing is a sham. I know this because I am a bitter former employee...

Sorry, but the idea is bad, the execution is bad, and it is certainly not a deal.

I think the issue is so many pubs and restaurants are going 'is pepsi ok?' - Coke's losing its market share.

I hope so, but it's a shame it's to another American multinational. Even Scots Porridge Oats have been taken over by Pepsico. And what was the first thing they did? Started marketing porridge in plastic pots or in sachets with sugar and dried fruit added. It seems that multinationals want to either pollute the planet with plastic or pollute our bodies with sugar.

I love sugar so much but coke seems to have changed down the years, it's like they watered down the recipe and now I can barely taste that coke taste. Short of gulping down a coke at the end of a 100 mile bike ride and it feeling like a drink from heaven. I don't know what I'm saying. But I like coke better than Pepsi, Pepsi is creamy without that coke taste.

Cold simply for the reason that its a gimmick nearest one to me is 100 miles and as said the price of a tin of coke is pretty much on par with a nip these days anyway ala hmm coke or a nip and coke for about the same price not a good choice but I've seen plenty take it
