I received mine today. It's a pretty neat looking device. The instructions are in Chinglish but not too difficult to understand. Managed to download the suggested App from Google Play, powered up the camera and it connnected to my WiFi fine. Picture is definitely good and IR LEDs come on soon as it's dark, in fact they come on even when there's some light around. Yet another nondescript Chinese outfit that now has my wifi password and MAC address - I do hope they don't try doing the dirty as some of these folks tend to do!
The app seems to be ok, though once it started showing me a completely black image and I had to reboot the camera and phone. Been ok since that event. However, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to connect to the camera via 4G. Tried umpteen times but the App simply doesn't connect. Nothing in the settings menu about DNS settings etc.
Has anyone managed to access the camera from outside their home WiFi network? If so, I'd really appreciate knowing how you managed it.

I just got mine today and set it up (didn't even take 5 minutes). Great camera for £20, works fine using my mobile phone using o2 4g, I didn't have to set anything up, it should just work.

Can someone please comment on how easy this is to connect to from outside your home wifi, e.g. via 4G on your phone? Does the app work without any hiccups or do you have to pfaff around with DNS settings etc?
Many thanks in advance!

Easy peasy. Install the app, register your user account. Add camera, it will find it's default wifi and connect to it then it scans for your home network. Put in the password for it and that's about it.
You can record too micro SD 24hr or just on motion and it sends push notification of events. Live view over 3/4G no problem. No need to set up DNS/Port forwarding.

Although it sounds like its easy anyway with the hardware out of the box, if it wasnt you could just use a dynamic dns service yeah, assuming your router supports it of course.

A stonking deal for what it is! 20 quid for an IP camera that has a decent picture and allows remote monitoring. MyMemory also has exemplary customer service standards. I ordered the Toshiba Exceria 128GB microSD card from them in Oct (again another unwanted deal from here, this site is killing me!), and for some reason it never arrived. Just contacted them via the online chat and a very helpful lady immediately offered me a refund or replacement. Can't argue with that in today's marketpalce with retailers like eBuyer at the other end of the spectrum (remember eBuyer's festive photo of their staff a few years back with a poster in the background rating how many RMA requests each of them had successfully rejected!!).
Bought and heated, thanks OP!

with the Alfred app you set up a spare phone/ipad as the camera. Then you use either another phone/ipad/PC to view.

if you have a ipad or spare phone set it up with a app called Alfred (android and iOS) . i have been using this for a while. It can also connect more than one phone to it around your house. Voice and motion detection.
