My gran told me that all they got for Xmas was an orange. One year she got a little wooden doll that her dad had made from a clothes peg and her mum had made a wee dress for it. She assumed it was instead of the orange but she got the orange aswell. Said she was smiling for weeks.
Imagine a kids face now !

Boxes of these remind me of when I was a child. My mum always bought a big box at christmas time we all got a apple, orange and some nuts in a stocking and we loved it. Shame kids do not see in the simple things today.:disappointed:

Good luck with that, Lidl advertised that deal in my local. But all they had were 600g bags for 59p
They did the same thing a while ago with cheese puffs onion rings bacon rashers crisps. Advertised XXL size but put smaller size bags out at the same price.

Dont think its a glitch a I got them from here at the same price last year. Be warned though, eat them quick because they weren't the best quality and went soft and moldy very quickly.

Ah those days. Remember one year my dad rolled in eve night drunk as a skunk and dragged one of my crusted mud football socks out of the bin and used that. Stupid git then filled it with a half empty bag of crushed crisps from the pub.

Lidl in Llanelli often advertise meat at a special offer price that they haven't got.

It's just a ploy to get us all through their doors.......... cos majority of us will take a basket/trolley. in to carry the advertised items. Not in stock etc, but we'll browse anyway while we're there. Next thing we know £20/30 + spent. So it's a win, win for the supermarket companies.

Got some last week, tasted nice for 1st 2 days then lost all their flavour and started to go soft and soggy :disappointed:

I agree. Bought 3 nets of them. They looked lovely. Left them a couple of days and 6 of them going very mouldy and put me off the rest. Very disappointed and annoyed.

I still put an apple, orange, nuts and marzipan in my kids stocking! They may never get eaten and be put back in the bowl but it's tradition!!!

why is this hot? go to a fruit market or lidl and it's cheaper, most likely better quality too.
