​Yeah, I guess so, it gave me enough time to put the shoes back in the packaging! :wink: Looks like the other pair will be keepers... no matter the quality.

Both my pairs of shoes were ordered with the shorter delivery duration given at the time.

I was more disappointed with the quality at the end of the day, as I expected some sort of SNAFU on the postage front at this time of year, despite the Clarks outlet being less than 2 hours from the door here.

I'm fairly sure I'll not be receiving with the second pair before I head off for a trip on the 3rd.

to be fair - it clearly states on their website since the 21st Dec 2016 -

We are experiencing some delays in processing due to the current order volume. Please allow up to 7 working days to receive your order. We will soon be back to delivering orders within our standard 3-5 days.

and if ordered on the 21st Dec 2016 - 7 working days will end on the 04th Jan 2017:smiley:

Mine's still stuck at 'processing' from 22nd December. At least my mother will have a nice Xmas gift to open halfway through January.

My other pair of shoes, ordered on the 21st, were supposedly despatched yesterday but this morning the status is order received. Can't say I'm finding Clark's to be good at logistics or choosing shoes that are of good quality so far. Let's hope the next pair are decent.

Well received my Boat Shoes yesterday...ordered on the 20th, delivered via Hermes last night.

If I said the shoes looked and felt like a pair of no-name "look-a-likes" from a £9.99 shoe outlet that would be entirely fair.

They've gone back as a return today - I'd honestly say that they picked some random job lot of "Made in Portugal" shoes and stuck a Clarks label on them and tried to pass them off as some sort of sale item.

I've got another pair of shoes on the way as well, hopefully they will have the expected Clarks quality.


My Timberland boat shoes (of the same style) are in a totally different league.

I usually buy stilettos from Clarks so can't comment on durability of boat shoes - the high heels seem to wear well & I can cope with a whole day's teaching in them so hopefully that might be an indicator of quality??

I hope these are not ex display. I once went into the shop in the sales and tried a pair of desert boots on. They were ex display and were noticeably so. I mean the difference was massive as they looked so different. One had been tried on to death, one hadnt. I passed as they were taking the pee really. If this applies here they are going back.

seems the ones discounted to £22 - 29 are small sizes, the sizes 9 and above are closer to £50 and more :man:
