Stylish and practical this CITIZEN Eco-Drive Chronograph is a perfect addition to your watch wardrobe. The stainless steel case and bracelet are complimented by the charcoal grey dial with orange accents. It also gives you luminous hands and markers, a 1/5 second chronograph measuring up to 60 minutes, 12/24 hour time and bold piston style push buttons. The watch is 100m water resistant.
A simple, yet revolutionary concept: a watch that never needs a battery. Citizen eco-drive technology harnesses the power of light from any natural or artificial light source and converts it into energy which is stored in a permanently rechargeable lithium-ion cell. It recharges continuously in any kind of light to run forever.

Any of these watch manufacturers realise that colours are going to severely limit their appeal?

For me it's hovering between nice and horrible, can't decide.
Good price but I'm a G-Shock.

I jave several G shocks as well, but this watch is far away from horrible. It looks like a 300 quids one, so just take a try with it. But please leave me one in the store because I want to buy another one or just replace it

I understand but IMHO the radio control feature is not that important nowadays, because everyone has a smartphone, which always shows the exact time. Watches now is much more jewellery than timekeepeing machines

What is the lume like on this model?

the lumination is nice, of course not as strong as a Nite but still good enough to see the time properly. I dont know how long it last, never checked.

It's stainless steel my friend. TBH I'd prefer titanium too but all my previous watches have been stainless steel and I've had no issues with them.
Looking at the reviews on Argos it seems to look much better than the images. They also say it looks more expensive, somewhere around the £300 mark.
Leonidas85's comments above have been helpful. Hence I've reserved one to pick too

Outstanding deal for a Citizen Eco-Drive. If you have never owned one of these watches you will not want to go back to one where you have to swap the batteries every year or two. All you have to do to keep it running is not to leave it in a drawer for weeks on end.

If you prefer titanium this Citizen is worth considering (assuming the design appeals). I got the last one in stock this morning so any further orders have a waiting period. £299 RRP and average retail from most outlets at the moment £220 to £240. Also a 5% off code is offered via a tab in the bottom right hand corner on the page against your next order but it worked for me on this first order so brought the price down to under £142. https://www.firstclasswatches.co.uk/citizen-mens-titanium-eco-drive-titanium-silver-blue-ca4240-82l-p-26865/

Thanks OP - I picked one of these up this morning. It's a really nice looking watch. I've never had an analogue chronograph watch before (usually having digital Gshocks). I like it very much. The only thing I find odd is that the second hand stays still unless in stopwatch mode. I know it's normal for a chronograph but it seems odd somehow.

Bought for my sons 18th.
Just hope his wrists aren't too skinny for such a solid, heavy watch.
Tried it on myself and it looks magnificent for the price tag.

How much lighter is a titanium version? Just picked up mine from Argos and while I like the design a lot, it feels a bit heavy to me. It would be fine for a night out, but not sure for day-to-day wearing.

Picked one up today, I would say it looks exactly like the picture, hoped it may look a little different as suggested. I have two eco drives which feel more solid than this, they were more expensive so not unexpected. I just wanted a watch for general use but for me it is too shiny so I am returning it. However, the movement will be good, a lot better than many watches at the price so I am adding heat but if you do not like the look of it you may be wasting your time.

So sorry that you dont like the look, for me its one of the best watch, the dial face has a deep which looks like a more expensive watch than really it is.
