@ ljstrawson.. thanks but I was hoping that someone who has uses these on gas flame before would be able to comment if they have used it in past.

Can anyone help - do any of these sets 5 piece or 10 piece be used for cooking on a traditional flame burner gas? thanks

I don't think I've ever seen a saucepan set that isn't gas compatible.

Would love a set like this but then I look at my 3 stainless steel catering pans that I grabbed off my dad when he retired. 30 years old and going strong; grubby on the outside but throw anything you like at them and still clean as a whistle.

Bought a circulon infinite saucepan and it was so good that I bought a huge circulon stockpot
Solid build, good for induction and seems to last a long time. My tefal wok in comparison is already falling apart after 1 1/2 years, not too impressed with them

I'm a bit confused as these say not suitable for induction hobs...but I bought the very same set (5 piece) about 4 years ago and they work fine on my induction hobs... Am going mad or does anyone else use these on induction hobs?

The Infinite ones (in the five piece set above) are suitable for induction hobs due to the composition of the base plate - in fact it's even stamped on the base plate (I just checked mine).
The Commercial / Professional ones (the 10 piece set above) are not suitable for induction hobs due to the different base plate (or lack thereof)... At least that's my understanding!

I've had a set of Circulon pans for 15 years now, bought from Debenhams, still going strong and not had a single problem. (Equivalent is probably today's "Momentum" range.) Highly recommended cookware. Heated!

You might never have had to.
all professional pans are metal handled as so they can be placed in very hot ovens and under grills etc..

I had an issue with an old set of circulon pans with a lifetime guarantee. Over ten years old and faultless service replacing them. I was given one down from this range and they are really good, recommended

Great pan set, usually available from Debenhams on offer for £80, this is what i paid

Debenhams don't stock the infinite range they stock the Ultimum and Momenton ranges. Are you sure yours are not the Ultimum range?

Possibly, but i have never, and never needed to put a pan the oven? am I missing something here ha. Mine are metal and rubber where you hold, keeping them cool, and makes them feel slightly better in build qualityrather than just a metal handle. Mine are the "Steel Elite" as seen here
which i can say I would buy these again today if I didn't already have a set with a lifetime guarantee ha. I guess full metal handles seem a cheaper manufacturing option to me, though I could be completely wrong here.
We have a full metal copper based pan that the OH bought with him when moved in, and I have used it but the handle gets too hot to touch, so have to use oven gloves which, to me, isn't totally safe with a pan of boiling water when cooking pasta for example. So I didnt know whether Circulon have overcome this issue with their pans

Looks like that is the difference between these two. I think the heavy base of the 5 piece set is more appealing.
Sorry my email related to the Infinite and Origins ranges.
I have a set with the heavy base like the 5 piece and they are excellent.

I just noticed the 10 piece set ISN'T suitable for induction, but the 5 piece set is??
How can that be right if they're the same bar the handle, as the woman said? (Not accusing you of lying of course)

Did they respond?
It would appear the 10 piece set doesn't have the stainless steel & aluminium base that the Infiniti range has?

Yes and No. The plastic ones go upto I think around 180c.

Which set has the better handles?? (Serious question)

They are great pans, I bought a set over 10 years ago, and in summer this year they replaced the milk pan as the non-stick had begun to come off - not too keen on the metal handles on these though - unless they have some wizardry to stop them getting hot
haritori to Spakkle

But don't you need metal handles to be able to place them in the oven?

It's also worth noting the two sets above are different ranges.
The 5 piece is from the infinite range the 10 piece is the standard (professional?) range.

Looks good but worth noting that the sizes of the pots are quite small. Tempted by the induction set.
