Price reduced at my local store, good value for an Austrailian Shiraz.
Tastes like a more expensive wine and far superior to anything else i've found at this price.

Bottle a bottle. I agree. Its a nice wine and does not taste as a cheap wine. For this price you would not get such a good tasting wine in big supermarkets.

I love this...the oaky/woody touch suits me. Everyone's tastes are different...can't be doing with wine snobs. Currently on offer so good for a couple of glasses on a school night!

There is a problem with getting a cellar Lidl's box! I was told none left in my store!

First few sips it's a bit rough but after you've got past that it's quite nice. At that price it's also great for cooking. I purchased 8 bottles of it a few weeks ago and put it in Lidl's boxes which offered £4 off a box of 4, so it worked out at £1.99 a bottle.

Nice! You might have got a bit lucky there, that offer is meant to be for the more expensive wine cellar wines.

Bought a bottle to try and it's OK. Not great but eminently drinkable and at that price I'll buy 6 more.

Not tried this one, but bought 3 bottles of it today.....
The Cimarosa Australian Cabernet Sauvignon that Lidl were recently doing for the same price £2.99 was well nice. Kept going back and buying more.
Hopefully this is as good.

Just bought one of these to see what a 2.99 bottle would taste like. I guess I won't bother opening it

Great if you like a robust wine with a bit of attitude (A lot of cobblers spouted about wine. some of the best wine in the world is cheap local plonk that never sees a shop or store ). Pair it with some of the cheap New Zealand Lamb Legs that are due anytime. Loads of garlic and rosemary , LUSH !
Pears in red wine or mulled wine is always an alternative if the taste is a bit iffy.

I am not sure if its this one but one of the cimarosa has such a strong oaky flavour that I find it pretty sickly first few sips ok but then its too much.
