Cheers just purchased, would you recommend I wait until it arrives before taking the Netflix offer or right away?

23 Dec 161#7
You can only get the offer after it arrives as you have to be in possession of it to activate it, though if you haven't used netflix before (or are willing to create a new account) you can get a one month free trial effectively giving you four free months instead of three....
raj75 to anthonynsinclair
23 Dec 161#8
I think you can take the 1 month trial offer now. Once you get the Chromecast, you can get the 3 month code and add it to your account.

Raj, I am already using the same offer; do you know if it's possible to get this extra chromecast and double up my 3 months Netflix and NOW TV movies? Any idea?

I've activated two Chromecasts and can confirm you can get the offer more than once. The only limitation is that once the Chromecast has been activated the offer has gone so you couldn't get it from a used one for example...

23 Dec 161#5
I have not done it. But I know someone has added 2 Netflix codes (£22.47 worth each) to their account.
raj75
23 Dec 161#6
For NOW TV movies, you can't stack.
So check if the code doesn't expire in 2 months, when you need to add the 2nd code.
Cheers buddy. If I have the old Chromecast now, can I add the 3 months to this or does it only allow you 3 months free Netflix if you purchase the new chromecast? Thanks for your help

You will get 3 months Netflix for Chromecasts activated first time after Dec 6th.
But you can always give it a try with your existing Chromecast, nothing to lose.

You are right, will only work registers after 6th Dec. Reserved new one at Currys, it pays for itself

See point numero uno. The offer applies to each Chromecast activated
Does that mean you have to buy and activate the Chromecast by the end of tomorrow (24th December) ?

Can confirm you can definitely add this offer more than once. Ive actually done it 4 times (3 times when this offer started and Argos had it for £20) and ended up with 4 lots of £22.47 credit. Set up the cc using home app, go into offers, redeem Netflix code and you'll get a code you can add to your existing account. I did read someone on a thread here say you can't add more than 4 lots but imo I don't see why that would be a problem I've not seen that in the tnc's.

anyone know if I added the code to a current Netflix account (premium) whether there'd be anyway to pay the difference for premium for would I get 3 months of premium added free?
raj75 to Netflixsearcher
24 Dec 16#23
Once you add the code to Netflix account, you get £22.47 credit added, which can be used for any membership. If you use for Premium, credit will last for 2.5 months. If you use for Basic credit will last for 4 months.

Netflix offer is given my Google and their terms say thay, for all Chromecasts activated until 9th Jan. I am assuming the Tesco's 24th Dec date could be the £25 offer price end-date.
Thanks, bought it in-store with £4 off £30 spend

The chromecast would have paid itself over many times with all these fab offers - remember buying it for 19.99 awhile back with the Wuaki TV offer - every penny well spent

25 Dec 16#28
does this mean that you can buy a chromecast anywhere and as long as it's new and activated by 9th january you get 3 months netflix? so the tesco offer that says it ended yesterday isn't exclusive to tesco, it's something offered by the link instead? no code in the box?
also, it's a standard netflix account, so if you buy the chromecast and setup netflix you can use the account on a different device instead and not need to use the chromecast?
so rather than pay £22.50 for netflix alone i can pay £25 and get a chromecast for basically £2.50 more?
BuzzDuraband
25 Dec 16#29
Exactly that
It's a Chromecast offer for newly activated units until 9th Jan

great, thanks. i'll hopefully get one in tesco tomorrow. i've got other devices that seem better for playing netflix. the chromecast seems a bit fiddly but at the price i can have a play around with it. the interesting bit is the ability to be able to plug it in anywhere and carry it about, although i have a couple of windows tablets that can probably do everything it can

Aren't all Tesco stores closed tomorrow ?
I picked one up yesterday for £25. If I can get the 3 months Netflix and 2 months NowTV movies for £2 I'll be happy.
It's quite neat casting my Chromebook screen to the TV.

I'm having some Chromecast issues on mine.
Going directly through the Chromecast App on my Phone to my Chromecast Device only allows me to the standard '1 Month/30 Days for Free' NETFLIX offer that the whole World see's also?! (no benefit to had via Chromecast there ... )
And if via the Chromecast App on my Android Phone I navigate to: http://chromecast.com/offers it tell's me that I need to claim my '3 Months/90 Days of free' NETFLIX via Google Home App on Google Play (no problem there I thought?, WRONG!).
While attempting to access Google Home App on my Phone, it rather navigates to Google Play Store via my Android Phone's Default Browser!, wth????(weird I thought!, but what the hay right?).
Either way, I log into my Google Play Account via my Android Phone's Browser, and nothing?! (as I'm unable to still make good on the 3 Months NETFLIX freebie via the Google Home App/installation, or whatever?, as I was NOT able to access it properly in the way in which I'd hoped for/the App was intended, etc, etc?). :-(
What the hell is up with that?, and/or what the hell am I missing or doing wrong within the respective Chromecast necessary whatnot's that's clearly proving amiss for me know and the like?, hmmmmmmm. :-(
Any help, and/or insight into this odd Chromecast Redemption 'World' I've inadvertently dropped myself in, would be most appreciated!, thanx. :-)

Added my 3 months Netflix but had to borrow an iPad to do it as you need to do it from the Apple or Android App.
Code has added £22.47 to my Netflix account.
I'll add the NowTV offer by the end of January as I already have an offer on there at the moment and I need to wait for that to expire.

I wish the same could be said true when I tried for similar with a free 3 month code last year, via my Chromecast, for DisneyLife.
Let's just say, thing's got a bit too 'complicated', and every month I had to instead be calling them to sort the thing out for the 3 month one (how much moreso the extra 1 month initial new Customer Sign-Up bit also, etc?).
I only got 3 months out of it in the end (barely/sort-of?), so ...
Be careful basically, when you do all them sort of things?. :-(
So as not to effectively shoot yourself in the foot for the sake of an extra freebie 1 month! (like I did last year ... ) lol.

The 3 months of Netflix offer has now finished. I can confirm having wasted about 2.5 hours on the phone yesterday evening between Chromecast and Netflix, both blaming each other. Netflix seemed to have pulled the acceptance of the code well before midnight. As the call went beyond midnight, it was left unresolvable. Just a word of warning for the future, to get the offer redeemed in good time.
