My wife was pretty annoyed as she had made a special trip and I never rechecked the thread!

Yeah I realised that when I dropped into Tesco on way home from Halfords. Would have been annoyed if I had made a special trip.

The weight of these things is annoying. Remember when boxes were at least 350g or so?

The two for £7 was an error a big near 3000 degree one...deal expired.
They are doing however [2 for £5 on the 490g bags], so 980g of Celebrations for £5 is a very good deal.

Heat added got some today for DH as an extra stocking filler, the big drums of sweets are a better offer but there's just too much rubbish in the house at Christmas and we'd only eat them all for the sake of it.

So maybe we should have dictators like you moderating the 'crap' so everyone else will then only ever see the 'deals' you deem worthy for us to see

Don't think your maths quite works there.
240g box = 62.50p/100g
490g bag = 51.02p/100g
750g tub = 46.67p/100g (assumes the Tesco 2 for £7 offer and your local has some left).
So all in all this is an ok deal but the 2 for £7 is the better value*.

The 490 bags are even better value if you buy 2 for £5

All deals that are posted before the actual day there SUPPOSED to start will be getting cold votes from me unless there is evidence.
