Yeah should be a total dark face on this. Great watch. Remember to keep these solar versions topped up. Leave it in full sight of the sun on the odd sunny day when it occurs lol. It'll top up to full in an hour or 2. Good to go for months then.

I think it does and it probably just the angle the photo was taken at as looks like the solar cell reflection giving the grey purple appearance around the display, if you look closely.

Is it easy to see in sunlight with the reverse display?
My wife had a Baby G with similar display and had problems telling the time in Hong Kong with the bright sunlight.

Im considering this watch. I have however read reviews that say its hard to read in the dark due to the reverse display. Is this the case?

it has a very good backlight that can be set to come on with wrist twisting ( if that makes sense ) and can be set to either come on for 1.5 seconds or 3
