This has been spotted in both Asda Royton and Asda Oldham and seems to be national. Fantastic for the price, waited for it to come down in price but can't say no for £13.

Biggest reason why i now hate COD is exactly that.
Since they made it flying /jumping around crap it lost its 'call of dutyness' for me (if there is such a word  )
If this doesn't send a message to the game makers that it is broken, then this franchise is doomed

Bottom line is it's tosh at £48 or £13.
They knew they were going to have problems shifting it, hence the bundling of MW Remastered, sly tactics.
Save your money and don't buy the game just because its cheap, and maybe the makers will get the message and improve future releases.

Always one hay? I gave up on cod after I played black ops 3. Only played an hour, with all the jet pack boosts and wall running it just didn't feel the same but at £13 (if you can get it), it worth a go
I went in over the past week and for xbox saw a lot of games discounted but PS4 had only Tearaway unfolded for £10, PES 2016 UEFA for £5, Call of Duty: Black Ops III £10 and another COD game for £10 evertything else was at a high price. The last Guardian was £25.

Voted HOT but still waiting for the deal where I'm paid to this version of COD. It would mean having to clear precious disk space for games that I play on a regular basis.
I've completely lost interest in the franchise since BO3, where the writing was on the wall long before that. Change will happen at Activision if we continue to vote with our wallets by not buying...regardless of the plummeting price. Great deal for many but I'll pass...

Similar things happen at all these supermarket deals, some staff don't honour it to avoid getting trouble while some "lie" to customers so they can get it for themselves. Others may just be doing what they believe to be their job.
That said, doesn't help when you throw in the bonus map edition with a different barcode to mix things up further.
Good luck to anyone trying and good job to those who get it. Wasn't impressed by the open weekend so will be giving it a miss!

To summarise for everyone just getting home from work the display case scans at £13, the sealed game from the drawers scans at £48. The best bet is to take the display to the self scan. Pay for it there & then get a staff member to get the game from the drawers.

Another reason Activision are letting the price sink on this is so they can release good sales figures next year for COD to save face with not only the public but with their investors too.
They could also offer the game for free and still make a killing on idiots buying supply drops. Mark my words, in a couple of years COD will have gone free to play with even more 'pay to win' rubbish added.
regreid
29 Dec 16#125
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, which is what is great about the world...at times
Also i doubt it is only the 'older COD players'. Almost everyone i have spoken to about the game, whether it be in RL or on forums etc, rank it as 1 of the worst if not the worst COD EVER.
Oh and BTW COD isn't the same every year
If i want to play a game where you spend most of the time jumping around, i will go buy halo or frogger
Edited for extra comment
Just read pages 3+4 here and i guess there are just a few more who agree with me, so i really doubt it is the nostalgia brigade who thinks it is rubbish
BTW i don't what this franchise to lose money or finish, i/we just want good quality COD again

I don't understand when people say stuff like that. Cod is the game evreg year in a different skin, and that's what I like about it. The jumping isn't as bad in bo3 and IW, in IW a lot of the gun fights happen on the ground. The faster movement just makes it smoother to move around, and makes boots on the ground sluggish in comparison. The older cod players just go on about how great the old ones were, but Its really just noataligia mwr wasn't half as good as I expected.

Now you have a choice of camping for 10 minutes and falling asleep, or running around solo Rambo style and dying a lot after being picked off from said camping spots. Neither of which appeal. FPS games are at their best when they incorporate squad gameplay in my opinion, and while COD can still be fun, this is where Battlefield really takes over. This is worth £13 of anyone's money however.

Ok guys, story time to explain what has happened:
Yesterday's price for this was £28 but this morning it went back up to £44 - this was done via the normal price change process. However, there was also a 'Head Office price count' for Call of Duty Infinite Warfare which when counted and process lowered the price to £13.
HOWEVER, this price is for a 'cross referenced product' meaning it has a different barcode to what is actually on the product which is currently being sold so therefore when the game is scanned the price will scan as £44 but if the barcode from the £13 label was manually entered into the till then it would actually process through as £13. Hope that sort of explains it....

I bought it after watching some Twitch videos and it was on sale so I impulsed purchased it. Best impulse purchase ever. According to Respawn they aren't sure they will make a Titanfall 3 as sales haven't been great and it will be a crime if we don't get a third game. I blame EA for killing the franchise as they made the first game exclusive to Xbox and then sending the second game to die between COD and BF1.

I can echo how good the single player is. But best since modern warfare is just plain ludicrous. One can only assume it stephe only game you have played since cod4. World at war was a really good single player and modern warfare 2 wasn't that bad. Gears 3 is also great single player, redemption isn't bad either from what I remember.

Titanfall 2 is the best FPS I've played since the original COD4.....
It's unfortunate that it hasn't sold as much as it should.
I feel like infinite warfare has tried to copy elements of Titanfall and got it very wrong.
Titanfall gets it spot on, but if you haven't played it, it's hard to make it clear how good it is.

The online multi-player is pathetic. Ever since they started the boosting/jumping around the multi-player died. Gone have the days of World at War tanks and old guns. Go back to store, pick it up from the £13 section, purchase the item. Now heres the important part, do NOT say anything, let the transaction go through at £48 or whatever it was. Then you tell them its a misprice. They have to honour a misprice once the transaction has gone through. If you tell them beforehand, they can do exactly what they did and refuse the sale, but once the sale had gone through, they have to honour a misprice

Can't see anywhere where it says £13, so presume I can't buy then say it's a mis-price...?
Getting the standalone for £13 at Asda thanks to Demtendo64
+ someone posted a deal about buying Now Sing for £6.99 and trading them in for £14 at Game (with CEX price match) so cost me £13.98 for 2 (£28 credit). Then buying £25 PSN card to pay for the upgrade.
Gone to work today (brierley hill Asda)and found they had the SEL but the barcode is different to the games we had. They have now put the price back up to £48
They knew they were going to have problems shifting it, hence the bundling of MW Remastered, sly tactics.
Save your money and don't buy the game just because its cheap, and maybe the makers will get the message and improve future releases.

Take the display case to the desk and they type in the code, that comes up £13 when they get the real game it scans for £48. but they honoured it tonight.
Call of duty :Nokia/blackberry
They had drive club for £15 and adventure time for £13 round the side part of the store
tons of kids toys, books, clothes on sale though.
Still, 13 ain't bad if you are a COD fan.
I'm pretty sure the base game can be had for around £15 new, it's worth every penny.
In fact that's still my favourite shooter even now...
Great find tho
These guys have even lied to me in the past regarding the £2 gift card you are meant to get for mispriced items. Not a nice bunch to be honest.
I've completely lost interest in the franchise since BO3, where the writing was on the wall long before that. Change will happen at Activision if we continue to vote with our wallets by not buying...regardless of the plummeting price. Great deal for many but I'll pass...
I think a lot of people are hoping they're not so in the know about various copies of the same code and subsequent barcodes.
DONT BUY!
That said, doesn't help when you throw in the bonus map edition with a different barcode to mix things up further.
Good luck to anyone trying and good job to those who get it. Wasn't impressed by the open weekend so will be giving it a miss!
They could also offer the game for free and still make a killing on idiots buying supply drops. Mark my words, in a couple of years COD will have gone free to play with even more 'pay to win' rubbish added.
Will try other 2 tomorrow
wish they would just do a standalone zombies game.
I owned all COD's up to black ops 2.
It's my opinion.... Take it or leave it.
I assume Zombies comes as standard on this?
It's the damn principle. :man:
