Morrisons have reduced the price of their cadbury selection boxes down further to 50p to clear, this will be instore only and obviously dependent on whether stores had any left after Xmas, ours had loads left so guessing most stores will still have them, works out cheaper than a bar of chocolate

I know you always get reductions after Xmas, but I don't ever recall seeing the volume of chocolate being dumped at rock-bottom prices as there has been this year. Not complaining mind, just an observation.

Is this a joke?
The manufacturer and shop agree a fixed volume buy In for the season, if the sell out to consumer falls behind plan, then surplus stock is created. The supermarket want rid of the stock asap, so they reduce to clear through (as Easter stock will be arriving asap)

This stock is almost out of date or short dated. it is stock that has nothing to do with Xmas 2016 but is in fact in relation to Xmas 2015. the voucher for Cadbury world on the selection box is valid from December 2015 to April 2016. I agree Cadbury and morrisons would have agreed a price but it may even be a loss leader as people will spend more when they think they've saved. either way it's 50p and a good price

I think that could possibly be a misprint on the packaging by the printing company, as this stick certainly came into store for this Christmas, stock certainly not been hanging around store or depot for over a year(I know as I have been around both) and as this selection boxes are dated at the earliest April 17, if it was last years stock as you put it that would mean the chocolate having a best before date of over a year, and I don't know if any chocolate that hits the suprermarkets shelves with a BBE of over a year!!
