I've grown up using PS pads much more than Xbox, but since I've had my Xbox one, I much prefer the controller to DS4.

For people recommending this for PC gamers don't forger the added cost of the charge kit since Microsoft thinks controllers should run on AA batteries in 2016.

Some Panasonic eneloops AA (5100mah combined) are miles better than a play and charge kit which holds less than half

My Surface Pro 3 paired straight away with the built-in Bluetooth - no adaptor required

Right, got one of these from store earlier. Connected fine on my Surface, but couldnt pair it with my main PC as it kept asking for a passcode, but no passcode is mentioned anywhere, and 0000 didnt work. Turns out that your machine or Bluetooth adaptor MUST support Bluetooth 4.0, otherwise it will not work!

Does it pair with the Surface as it is, or do you need the wireless adaptor as well?

Steam has DS integration now so button prompts should show correctly these days.
Edit: Seems as if they still haven't pulled their fingers out in regards to the prompts. Oh well, hopefully next year the only reasons to decide between them will be stick layout preference, and if you want the touchpad mouse functionality.

... but reality is different to whats advrtised just so everyone knows that the Bluetooth pc connection doesn't transfer sound to the controller only movement and action works so to use this controller in its full capacity on pc the xbox pc wireless adapter is required

Wait the Xbox one adapter supports Audio as well? I wish I knew this before, I would have bought one ages ago. I was thinking of getting this controller and a Bluetooth adapter, but if the Xbox one Adapter will support Audio as well I should probably look at that instead.
