This sounds too good to be true and is dependent on Quidco and BT voucher paying out otherwise still not bad at £5/m
Quidco rates have updated today. Now £35 for all BT sim only plans.
ITunes Amazon voucher has to be claimed by you from BT (but you cannot claim until 14 days after activation).
The £8 Sim only Plan with higher allowances works out at a net £1 over the 12months if £35 Quidco and £60 Itune/Amazon voucher pay out

Correct, the cost stays the same at £10 a month. But you get a £5 discount for having BT Broadband making it £5 a month as you quote. This discount is removed when you end your broadband contract. The sim contract is the same price £10 a month, but as you lose the £5 discount you will pay £10 a month. Removing the £5 broadband discount does not change the mobile contract cost, which remains £10 a month.
This has been discussed on various threads and confirmed by those who cancelled their Broadband contract.

not seeing the £5 offer only £10
think £5 must be if you have bt broadband

But only if you stay with BT. These sims should be purchased within days of a new Broadband contract unless you intend to pay inflated broadband charges after 12 months. If you leave BT after 12 months the sim discount expires.
Any ideas what deals BT provide at month 13 for broadband?

BT customer services told me the sim contract is for 12 months and monthly cost will not increase even if you leave their broadband service.

Have you got that in writing?

Only verbally

Reason I asked is because my wife and I both got verbally screwed by Vodafone on renewal of contract last year. Should have taken them to the ombudsman but I lost the will to live after hours on the phone. So now, unless I see an offer in black and white with my name attached to it, I just walk.

Ok so where do the Amazon voucher come from ?

You claim it from BT. Make sure you take screen dumps of all the screens when you claim as BT often say you didn't apply and reject your claim.
Been arguing for 9 months over one voucher. I will leave BT when the 12 months is up.

I have found it in writing, I hope this helps. If you are a BT Mobile customer, then your BT Mobile contract is treated separately from any other BT products or services. Recontracting or upgrading your BT Mobile service with BT will not cause any changes to the contract end date for any of your other BT products or services.

don't trust quidco. it turns the cashback to only £10 after a while and it's too late for you to cancel as it pasts 14 days by then

When cancelling my BT broadband I was told I would lose the £5 per month discount I'm getting on my granddaughters sim. So I cancelled that as well.
I'm looking for a four sim deal with or without broadband. They didn't care. Btw. ACR call recording app is invaluable dealing with these shysters. I include Three, BT broadband and BT mobile and O2 in that. Tesco mobile were relatively simple to deal with

they are all lying ***** - even when you do it via online chat they deny it and even when you send it them they ignore it. Bt was a nightmare when i swapped from talktalk. I have the sim and it will go up to full price if i change my broadband to someone else, something else to throw in the calculation when comparing now shhheeeshh

I would like to add, from personal experience, many years ago I signed up for unlimited data and when I used it streaming movies one afternoon when I got locked out, I recieved a £200 phone bill which was removed from my account despite opposition! The reason given was fair use policy and a sub clause of the contract where the actual limit was 500mb
After this and many costly calls to customer service, I decided to give up- so I hope this lesson will help someone else- as I have found BT's customer service to be painfully unhelpful and would advise anyone else to just not go near Bt for anything! , unless they like dealing with beurocratic organisations!

I'm currently with EE. Is there any way I can switch to this and keep my phone number if it's the same network? My partner tried switching from one Talkmobile SIM to another and wanted to keep his number but they told him they were unable to move the number due to the being the same network, not sure if that's true or not.

If this is any good for some people, no need for any other VM services.
virgin mobile £6.00 pm for 300 mins, unlimited texts, 600 mb data if signed before 31st Jan 2017.
Ps. It's the deal I went for myself over the BT, because it's only a 30 day contract and not reliant on cashback.
