Cheapest anywhere in the country for a base model Brand New Fiat Panda 1.2 pop
5 doors as well
add £60 if you want the extra seatbelt to make it into a 5 seater.
i would recommend paying the extra £60 for the 5 seater option as this has a big impact on the used value as the 5 seaters command a £200 premium over the 4 seater versions
so effectively even if you don't use or need the extra seat belt, it will more than pay for itself!

Gone are the days when you could get a Chomp for 10p, a tin of baked beans for 4p and a 3 bed semi-detached house for £29,500.

Why buy a really basic new car when you could get one with a few more features as pre-reg or similar for similar money?

For the price of some Ferrari stripes you can get a fiat panda.....I'd rather have the stripes.

So is this a 4 seater with a belt and in no way designed as a 5 seater, Or is this a 5 seater with someone at fiat have a good old belly laugh at our expense.

its a city car with 4 seats with the option of an extra seat belt to make it into 5.
other city cars such as the VW up, Skoda citigo, Seat Mi, Peugeot 108, Citroen C1, Toyota Aygo are 4 seaters with no such option.

I hired one of these earlier this year. Normally drive an audi A6 and was surprised at how nippy this car was. Got me about, fun to drive. This is a hot deal for those looking for a small car with cheap tax, insurance and fuel costs.

At this price the Dacia Sandero is a better punt

Normally I would agree, but this is higher spec than a basic sandero, more economical on fuel, lower car tax, cheaper to service (Fiat generally come out cheaper than most for servicing - see honest john) and retains more of its value at 3 years old (basic sandero 1.2 access with 30,000 miles at 3 years old is forecast to have a trade value of £2550 in average condition).

interest charges make this an 8k car at Leicester Fiat - of course that's on their finance terms - may be better for a cash buyer!! maybe worth a phone call.
I bought a Fiat Punto which fell to bits in ten years. All sorts of mechanical bits that should be metal are made of plastic. The whole car was designed to last just the three year warranty period and then start failing. I scrapped it, ten years old and with only 50k on the clock. It was costing a fortune in repairs, and the last straw was the gearbox linkage breaking - yet another plastic part.

I had a 2008 Panda 100HP. Ridiculously fun to drive on country roads. Bought 2012 for £3500 sold 2016 for £3000. Didn't fall to bits. Cheap to maintain and run. Hardly lost any money on it.
Evo and car sites love the 100HP. Future classic warm hatch for sure.

You think that Fiat make the Panda any better?
joehart2
11 Dec 16#37
yes
the punto in question was a 2005 model using a mid 90s chassis and some components
the panda is a modern chassis with completely different components built in a different factory to the Punto
