Yep,Went to local boots store this morning and grabbed a few bargains, not much mens gift sets though.

Only limited items are on the 70% off.. it is basically crap online, might be worth a trip in store if your local has good stock and your able (unfortunately I'm at work)

When added to the basket its still only 50%

Yeah it comes from the warehouse and is delivered to store by that date. If you got your confirmation your stuff is safe. :smiley:

I also used my points and got store collection for the 31st December, I would assume our stock would be safe. I also done a separate order where I paid with my card. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong!

The thing I wanted to buy (This Works Sleep Together - basically a lavender scented pillow spray) was reduced to £16.66 at Boots or £12.50 delivered for free direct with the Manufacturer (This Works).

Don't buy into the hype on this sale. Use the time that the site is down to shop around.

Plus, TopCashBack has a better rate for This Works than Boots.

According to the error code (503) on the site earlier there is an issue with the back end of the website (DH works in this field). Totally agree that it is a joke the Boots can't get their website issues fixed.

You would think that in this year, 2016, they'd manage to implement some sort of queuing system that fairly let people in and to buy their stuff. Like how a ticket website works. Assign people a random place in the queue say 15 minutes before launch, then let in just enough people that the site can cope with - as somebody finishes their purchase let the next person in.

Instead, everybody just keeps hitting refresh because "once they're gone, they're gone", so everybody is frantic trying to get their basket because they think somebody else is gonna get to it first.

It's basically a digital Black Friday stampede. Having it as a free-for-all is pretty stupid and just **** everybody off.
