Happy Monday deal has just started again, and London Ibis Heathrow and Ibis Gatwick are available on 31/12 for £25, plus currently special offer of 7.5% TCB. Family room has new Ibis SweetBed (double) plus a full single bed (not a sofa bed/camp bed like some chains).
Combine with TfL offer of free travel for all. This hotel is a Piccadilly line tube ride from central London, frequent takes about an hour but loads of stops throughout London so is convenient.
Then a 5-8min bus ride from Heathrow Airport Central Bus Station, 24 hours, every few mins every night, these are totally free all year round anyway as are in Heathrow free travel zone.

Thank you. It was great deal. I booked one night for 31st December. Without this, we would have struggled to come back to Welwyn by train.

I hear the fireworks company will announce they are striking from 12:00 - 1:00 January 1st unless they get a 25% rise as well

if you leave your car there it`s 12.50 per 24 hours. But it`s usually pretty easy to find free parking locally

I haven`t actually stayed at this one, but some near Heathrow have free parking within a few minutes of the hotel!
Its usually pretty easy to find if you head for the nearest housing estate and have time. I`ve done this many times when using Heathrow airport. I usually take a bus from a `nicer` area. YMMV. In my case, I have an old car, so presumably it doesn`t look worth breaking into. New Year`s eve is a Saturday, and on Sunday you should be able to park on a single white line anyway.
There is this but it doesn`t seem much use http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/

I just realized I booked IBIS Gatwick instead of IBIS Heathrow :disappointed: I heard lot of noise about eh on-going strike. Is there a realistic chance of us getting a train / tube to IBIS Gatwick from PINK Area (Waterloo Station)
