I bought a hamper in the sales last year , removed anything that would expire before this Xmas (surprisingly not that much) and bought nice things over the year to put in and have a really lovely hamper for my mum for this Xmas

I think it also depended on the hamper you ordered, the sweet ones went out of stock fast whereas the famiy one there appeared to be more left, so people who ordered those later had better chance of getting one..

I ordered 2 and only received one, hoping the other one will turn up tomorrow...

So someone has made an error at BHS if it only shows one in the parcel,at least you have proof the invoice shows 1 and you paid for 2,but what a pain now they are out of stock.

I ordered at the same time and paid for both via Paypal but my included invoice is just for the one. I managed to contact the Hermes courier and he showed me his PDA which clearly had just the one parcel for me from BHS for delivery.

I ordered two (an After Dinner and a Family Favourites) but have only received one and to make sure they arrived on time I paid for next day delivery. I have telephoned BHS customer service and they say they have both been despatched. Either someone is fibbing on the phone or a Hermes driver is going to be having a tasty tea tonight.

I ordered 2 of these around 11am. I didn't receive a confirmation email however the money has been taken from PayPal. I just called BHS customer services and I was told there was an error on system where it was still taking orders and payments even though they were out of stock. If you're anything like me and you'd forget about the order because the christmas rush and expecting deliveries from multiple places, then I'd call to confirm now. The guy on the phone said the system wouldn't recognise the error and you won't get an immediate refund. He's just put a request through to the admin team for a full refund.

Its a bad sign when the hampers don't just go out of stock on the website but completely cease to exist haha. I'm not gonna call them, they can refund me any time they like, the more people that call and expedite their cancellations the more chance of them finding a hamper kicking around to send out to me.

Be warned ordered and paid through paypal at 10.38am payment was taken and confirmed email received just called to check order advised out of stock and money will be refunded !! Or wait on stock not likely before Christmas

Dunno why people are slating these. Granted they're not worth £100, or even £50, but for £18 they're a bargain! I'm going to open mine and pad it out with some extra bottles, chocolates, biscuits, nuts etc - you can pick lush hamper stuff up from so many places, especially local farm shops, places like Home Bargains and Aldi and Lidl! :smiley:

Paid £40 x 2 yesterday in desperation for family far away. Just rang BHS to see if they would refund the difference (£40) as they have been reduced just 24 hours after order. They said yes they would honour it and I should have £40 refunded within 5 working days. Worth a call if you purchased at £40 yesterday.

Some people have had problems with card payments,maybe try Paypal,or it could be they don't have 3 left in stock,maybe alter the quantity.

Similar wicker baskets in TKMaxx are around a tenner. It's not my sort of thing but I bought two for gifts - as mentioned by other posters, you could swap or add to the items with food you know the recipient will love, and you would have an impressive personal gift. Just ordered 2x family sets. I wouldn't normally pay the extra for next day postage but didn't want to risk leaving it a few days when I might not be in and the extra 10% discount on the products helps towards the postage.

For £20 you can always add in some of your own family favorites to jazz it up a little. Soon turn it into a bumper hamper quite quickly and easily. £20 is not bad especially for the handmade basket.

Bit of googling and the contents of the family hamper are worth about £25 if bought individually, hamper baskets about £10 so this is roughly worth £35. give or take.

Certainly not worth £100 but for £20 its a good deal.
