It probably "looks like a bargain" because the reduction is so big. In reality it's highly unlikely that this was worth anywhere near thirty quid in the first place. The bags they were selling last year were as tacky as they come imho. Up until a few weeks ago they were still on the Superdrug website and my local store couldn't shift them for love nor money last Christmas.

Not a big fan of Bayliss and Harding, I think they are overpriced personally.

I agree this is not top of the range product but for £12.50 it will make a great Christmas stocking for many people.
Baylis & Harding Midnight Fig and Pomegranate Luxury Travel Set at debenhams for £18..

Ugh, Baylis & Harding, nothing luxury about it. Cheap and nasty stuff. If this was £12.50 originally and then knocked down to £5 it would still be overpriced.

I think that aptly demonstrates precisely why there's absolutely nothing luxury about it and certainly nothing about it that justifies a thirty pound price tag but, hey, horses for courses. Knock yourself out.

I think you are missing the point. You said Bayliss & Harding was overpriced, not that this item was overpriced. Clearly I have shown B&H is not overpriced as a generalisation if you can buy it so cheaply. That does not mean this item is not overpriced which, yes, it is at £30.

Sorry, you've got me confused with another poster, I think. I only said this item, and one they sold last year, was overpriced. I'm in agreement with you. I'm aware that the handwash sells for peanuts which is why the original price of this is, at best, laughable.

Can't believe people are still buying this crap as Xmas presents. Anyone I know would be affronted.

Can't believe shops can get away with this! £30 is a joke as are most top line prices of so called gift sets. Amazon have most of the same in this range cheaper and at times with more products if you like the line......for example -
Someone bought me this last Christmas, and the smell was awful. Unfortunately it went in the bin. I avoid this stuff like the plague. Awful !!! sorry, not a bargain for me.

If anyone is still interested in B&H, there's also some items available on the "I want one of those" site in their 3 for £20 section:

Looks like a BARGAIN!
