Normally I just buy crap soggy own brand pickled onions for 90p a jar because I can't afford the good stuff, but wow if you can spare the extra £1 then these will make your day. Barry Norman didn't get where he is today by eating cr.ap pickled onions.

I've tried just about every brand of pickled onions going, including these. Wasn't especially impressed with these... they're ok, but nothing special. If you want REAL bite, get Garner's Pickled Shallots. IMO, they're the best of the best.

Home pickling is for the true connoisseur, give it a go, my Uncle Anthony's onions taste like nothing else.

i doubt the Garners ones are that good. if they were, surely they would be endorsed by a retired film critic?!

Yeah, I have very fond memories from when I was a kid of my dad pickling his own onions... the shelves in the kitchen pantry used to be full of large jars of pickled onions and home brew wine.

Does Barry Norman think he's Paul Newman putting his name on stuff like this!?

I'm a pickled egg type of bloke, partial to an onion only on bank holidays if truth be told.

When you eat them, it makes you screw your face up and pause for a moment as the flavour temporarily overwhelms your senses <3

These are the BEST! Really tasty and crunchy! Better than home-made.

I've been eating pickled onions for years at the cinema, no one will sit near me in a 5 row seat radius, they're amazing! Definitely come to the cinema when I'm there, I usually go to the Showcase in Peterborough, I can't promise I haven't stained any of the seats though, with my onion juice.

Are these made with Malt vinegar instead of the Spirit vinegar that other brands use?

Garners are great, £2 a jar in Morrisons at the mo.
The aldi chilli pickled onions are not bad, but haven't got the 'home made' dark flavour that the garners ones have
