I have this bike and I paid £750 a while ago...Well worth the money as its brilliant bike. think they have updated it now as they have the same one for £750 with a few upgrades to the wheels and the 105 crank set

It was a bargain at the RRP. Second best bike I ever owned. Used it on Velothon Wales after an accident with my Genesis which saw me only manage one training ride. Exceptional comfort with this thing. Tyres whilst not meant to be great have not yet seen a puncture and seem glued to the road. I love this bike.
As for the brand X is better than brand Y argument, it's a nonsensival debate as each model will bring different things to the table. IMO the only thingB'Twin got wrong with this and the 720 is the horrible description decals.
Comparing the Synapse with the 700, the Synapse has a mediocre frame. The B'Twin frame is absolutely excellent. As for a cheap entry level carbon frame, a well thought out and properly designed alloy frame alloy wins hands down.
depends if you're happy riding disc brakes. cannondale imo is a better brand than B Twin. the disc brakes will make the cannondale heavier. Also you would not be permitted to race the cannondale in BC events as discs are currently banned.
if a decent winter spring hack is what you are after then Cannondale hands down. if I were looking for a good all round slightly nippier machine I'd head over to planet x and go for one of their tiagra carbon numbers.
Definitely not knocking the bike as you likely won't find better for this money. "Top spec" is a bit of a push given 105 is mid range. The beauty of this bike is that it's mid-range spec for essentially beginner money.
Great bike for the money though and I doubt you'll find anything better for £600 any time soon!
