With a lid finished in ultra-cool anodised aluminium, T100HA is not just designed to make a style statement. Yes, it's elegant. And of course it's sophisticated. But it's also durable and practical - and it feels great!
The original Transformer Book T100 was no heavyweight, but with T100HA we've taken it to a new level. At just 8.45mm thin, the tablet is 20% thinner than before, and weighs a mere 580g. Even with the keyboard attached, T100HA still a very slender 16.5mm thick and weighs just under 1kg, so you'll never have an excuse to leave it at home. Take it everywhere, store it anywhere

Not bad with z8500 + 64GB storage. Just wish it had more RAM and it would be perfect. Pretty good for what it is though.

I think Microsoft only give (or nearly give away) Windows licences for devices with only 2GB of RAM and lower-end CPUs.

Seems to be a glut of low price Win 10 tablet/2-in1 bargains popping up at the moment and this is probably one of the better ones IMO. Enough oomph to do all the basic stuff (except serious gaming) and also an ideal cost effective solution for travelling and/or taking on holiday. There's really nothing not to like at this price other than maybe the absence of a Full HD screen. But that's not a deal breaker with a relatively small 10.1" size panel. Heat from me.

Yes, I spotted that as well, which is odd because the T100CHI did have this.
Also I haven't seen an Atom-powered tablet running Windows 64-bit other than the Surface (that Microsoft makes), I suspect it's something to do with cheap/free licensing but can't think of a reason you would ever really want 64-bit Windows on a low-power device like this?

Only 32 bit Windows, I guess the CPU is limited to 32 bit too?

It will run fine since it's using flash storage. If it was an hard drive that would be an different story.

Download and/or even simpler, pay for an Office 365 licence and install it that way. Personally, I usually run Office 2007 SP3 as I still have the discs for this and have the installer on a memory stick now.

Is this the model which you have to charge the keyboard separate from the computer? If so, avoid.

No. You`re thinking of the Chi model variant.

Does anyone know if it's got the Synaptics active digitiser built in like the CHI series?

I've got one of these. Better than them crappy low end Atom's. I use a 128gb microSD for extra storage. 2Gb ram sucks. Windows 10 uses about 1.6GB on boot. I've disabled a bunch of services to get it to boot at 1.4GB.

would linux work on this? I'm after a lightweight linux laptop for under £300, and this might tick the 'lightweight' box.
