Shocking that they didn't offer you decent prescription products!!! However, not every itchy cat has FAD (flea allergy dermatitis)! Cats can get allergies to all sorts of every day things, one of the most common things are plug in air fresheners! I would suggest going to another veterinary surgery? The fact that it is only one or two of your cats that are affected would suggest that it is not flea's as they would all be affected. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Toonah - hope you don't mind a little advice, would strongly advise against buying flea or worming treatment for your cats from anywhere other than your local veterinary surgery or chemist! Honestly, you would be as well throwing your money down the loo! The non prescription products will kill or prevent part of an infestation but will not be strong enough to prevent/kill all of it. Some non prescription cat flea products have even been known to harm cats! Just so you don't waste your money.

Cheers - didn't get this one, and haven't got anything at the moment. Not been to vet for ages, had problem with my cat, they charged £90 to say "yea... problem with fleas... you fix" then our flea treatment didn't work, so another £90, but they offered no flea treatment. To be honest, I'm not sure it's fleas... We have many cats, one cat has patchy fur, scratches alot (fleas you'd assume, as we did, and the vet) but others don't react like this. And if it is (no idea, can't see any when I groom him, and no flea dirt, just dodgy skin but not from fleas) - it's odd that they did nothing to help. So have given up going there. Unless we try another vet (don't have a car, so am being rubbish and wanting something fairly local), I'm not sure what to try :-S

There's a Philips upscaling HDMI cable for a tenner, does anyone have any experience with these? wondering if it would produce any noticeable difference compared to the built in TV upscaler on J5100 series Samsung.
