Probably another dodgy one given once again you can't read the till receipt clearly?
Even if it was genuine it must be a returned item etc as there's no logic in Tesco selling a new iPad at such a low price.

Quit yer whining. 1 deal in 3 years and you have the cheek to rubbish some one else's deal. Without contribution the site has nothing.

This is genuine. 16gb model is discontinued and Tesco are getting rid of stock. This is the sticker price on the shelf.
Most places will be out of stock.
Osterley was out of stock so will be luck of the draw if your local has any left.

Phoned tesco customer services who informed me my local store had one each in stock and that they were £279 each for the Ipad Air 2 32gb (she could even tell me the colour) went to both stores (irvine) didn't have any in stock and Kilmarnock did have one in stock - scanned it at £379.
I told the assistant that I'd phoned the CS and she'd told me the cost - but the assistant couldn't change the price to £279... Seems Tesco don't have a clue what's happen with these.
Good luck to those that have found them at the discounted price

Can confirm that the Huntingdon Store has 1 Ipad Air left as of 26/12/2016 - 20 mins before they were shutting up shop. Guy was reluctant to check and even said "we only have what is listed on the Point of Sale on display." He then came out holding an sealed Ipad Air. I wanted the Air 2 so never purchased. Air 1 was at £179.99, but not advertised in the store.

Yeah, unless you're only planning on using it for web browsing and video streaming, I'd definitely advise on spending the extra £70 for the Air 2. Actually, I'd probably still recommend the Air 2 for those uses to "future proof" your device.
I have an iPad Mini 2 (which I believe has the same internal specs as the Air 1?) and it's definitely become somewhat less enjoyable to use over time. I never upgraded to iOS 10 like you out of fear that it'd totally slow down my iPad. For my fairly basic uses, however, I'm still not planning on upgrading to a newer model for at least a year if my iPad continues to work okay. The only exception to this would be if I happen to see an exceptionally good deal at some point, given that I unfortunately shattered part of my screen a few months back and therefore wouldn't mind an unblemished iPad. :stuck_out_tongue:

Web browsing is a problem these days as content developers choose to move away from flash into html5 - so instead of getting static images or whatever when flash was still king and iOS didn't support it, content rich sites come through in their full glory - good but not so good on ram. Even this site gives me a small delay in key selection as I type this out..... !

I don't get ppl complaining about updating and lack of space. We've various iPads and iPhones and they're always kept up to date and never run out of space. My sons iPad mini 1 (which is actually too old for ios10) still runs like new after multiple updates. My iPhone 6S is only 16gb and i take photos and 60fps hd vids all the time on top of having plenty space hungry games yet I've always at least 1-2gb free.

Well not advisable ...
A few have reported if you call them you will do the Tesco's Staff a favor by alerting them. They will hide the item, and take it when they are going home. They might also inform their other colleagues
I will not blame them considering that they are earning a modest salary. They are also entitled to a deal like anyone else. What I do not want is to alert them about the deal as they are just a hand reach away from grabbing while you still need to travel to get it ......
