top speaker, compared to the supposed best speaker bose sound link mini 2 and the bass and sound out performs it imo, had this for over a year now and take it with me during business travels in hotels, incredible value. would highly recommend, dont buy bose, buy this, save yourself over £100, trust me.

All the latest JBLs will pair speakers together as well, it's not that uncommon, but it is expensive (as, obviously, there's no cost savings to be had the more you add).

Cambridge Audio G2's allow two to be used as left and right channel to create much better stereo separation.
For those saying just adjust the bass for the Anker, that's all good unless you have an iOS device which will be limited with the native apps as there is no master equalisation control; also iPad/iPhone don't use apt-X so that's another downside but common across all apt-X enable speakers.
Saying all that I have this speaker and it is very good for the price but not the best available. My biggest issue with it is that the sound if very directional - if you aren't directly in line it sounds rather quiet - something I have not see picked up in reviews. Would I buy again - at this price yes but beware of the flaws.

does anyone know if these can be linked I. e have 2 or more playing at the same time? looking for decent bluetooth speakers at a fair price to do this if anyone knows? preferably 3 or 4 playing together.

As far as I know there are no bluetooth speakers that can do that. You need a multi-room speaker such as sonos or the panasonic ALL series although they are much more expensive than this. You can do it a bit cheaper with the chromecast audio which you plug into a speaker, such as these, and it supports multiroom/device sync.

Welshblob is spot-on with the Chromecast suggestion. I watched this video the other day as it showed the Chromecast Audio working in tandem with one another - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfKMWKFg6k4
You could pick up a pair of Chromecast Audios and a pair of the Anker speakers for a similar effect.

Yes the Pure Jungo range does exactly what you want. I have 6 of the the receivers (Pure Jongo A2) and they all play at the same time if any of them is bluetoothed to any media device. Here are examples:
chromecast audio does multiroom, but would need one to go.with each speaker

lol. don't get too upset.
anyway, it is possible to turn down bass, but you can't really turn it up on a crappy pair of headphones/speaker without distortion. I think that is what he was getting at.
anyway, too keep things cheap, this anker speaker and the xaiomi hybrid headphones.

From a quick Google it looks as if I was wrong; PartyUp App from Ultimate Ears allows you to wireless connect more than 50 UE speakers at the same time with a mobile range up to 33 m/100 feet and NFC enabled
That sounds very impressive, anyone tried it ?

About 8 hours it says. Not bad, but the smaller Soundcore lasts 24 hours...which has put me off upgrading from that to this.

thanks for replies guys but yep don't mind it not being surround sound, just wanted a cost effective way of having a couple of smaller speakers here and there. I know sonos do multiroom but wondering if these ankers could do similar as some speakers can apparently connect a few together. if not looks like I'll go for a Samsung 360 or Panasonic all6 or similar but both are pricey :disappointed:

Bought. Need to find a deal on Chromecast Audio's now
Been waiting for a deal on these speakers as been wanting another. Had one for nearly 2 years (got it on the advice of HUKD people) & am absolutely delighted I brought it. Sound quality is great so would recommend it to anybody who's after a good quality speaker.

Are you trying for surround sound? This solution won't be real "surround sound", as both stereo speakers are outputting the exact same thing, not separating instruments and sounds.
With 2 or 4 of these, it would just be blasting the exact same sounds at you from different directions

Actually its what I'm trying to do myself having bought a couple on the recent £15 deal from Currys. I haven't fully tested them yet but so far i can see they have global and device volume control and a variable delay per speaker to sort out any sync issues. They can be a bit clunky depending on what app you are using to cast but its much cheaper than any other multi-room audio system out there.
I'm testing it with a view to getting the Google Home speaker when they are released in the UK. They will then act as a chromecast speaker in their own right and be able to control a group of them via voice control.

I belive if you use it with PowerAmp and adjust the equaliser settings to the personal preferences and to the music you listening to, it can sound just perfect.

Actually, Otto was right. If that youtube video says it has too much bass and it's muffled, adjusting the bass EQ will actually help with both issues. Remove a little bass and then the highs will breathe more. Source: audio engineer
