Heh, I ordered 1 black and 1 red but when checking out the red one was going to be delivered a day later than the black on Prime so I deleted it and added another black. That was about 18:25 but glad I got them, thanks for the heads up on this :smiley:

Anyone know if this would be any good as an Echo Dot speaker?

This would be perfect for the dot. Not in Bose price range but the quality delta is nowhere near what the price delta would suggest. This is a very capable little speaker.

Yeah ino just thought I'd ask as the description did not state anything about the carry case. It has now been changed and states it does come with it.
Great little speaker, paid this a while ago for the speaker alone.

Wish I got the red but feel it didnt match my room as it's all black/grey theme so went for the black might get the red for no reason what so ever though it can sit with the other 6 BT speakers I never use!!

Good point, though given how much it features in the pics they best be ready for complaints if it doesn't. Plus the boxed weight is rather higher than the one listed without the case.

Whilst it doesn't state in the description that the case is included, I think the fact that it's showing in most photographs and this is the Christmas edition and the Christmas box has space for both speaker and case I think it's highly unlikely that this is not included. Good question though. They will certainly get a complaint from me if it turns up without one!

does this have a on/off switch? asking because I want to hook up a chromecast to it but like my other speaker, its got a on/ff switch which I don't want. what I want is a speaker, to connect up with the CCA, but the speaker would be on standby or something and would automatically come on when I connect my phone to my CCA and I wouldn't need to switch on the speaker independently.

what I find with the speakers with a on/off switch is that if I leave them on, even if im not playing music, its still using the battery up purely by being 'on'.

Yeah it's got an on and off button. It auto turns it self off when a Bluetooth device disconnects from it. I'm not sure if it will stay on if u keep it connected.

this is a great speaker and is plently loud, but if you're looking for something with a bit more base, I have the VTin 20w and I also have the Anker a3143 (think that's the model number) both of which are very bassy (the Anker one is a bit too bassy, but you can tweak it using an equaliser on your phone).

Depends what you are expecting from it. If you want it to fill a concert hall yeah somewhat lacking, a lift somewhat excessive.

It is roughly the size of a beer can so it's not bad considering and it can play for 24 hours.

Could look at this, seems rather popular.

Yes, there is an audio in, but no aux cable with the xmas version (just the charging cable and case).

Yup, Red and Black Xmas editions both going to £23.99
Normal Red (And Blue I think) also being reduced, but only to £24.74 and they don't have the little carry case.
NB10's (BT headphones) might be going to £20 (from £29.99) also. :smiley:
