I have been using one for the past 2 months. yes it is an aquired taste, but the build quality is excellent and the screen/keyboard are good and the os is very smooth. downside is the availabilty of apps and videos not being fullscreen, but if you can get passed that it is a great device.

but I heard you can sideload Android apps onto it? no idea and I certainly won't be buying this monstrosity but some still prefer this type of handset. each to their own I suppose

You can but it was such a monumental pain, I just went and bought a PRIV instead which gives me the keyboard and a proper supported OS. The Passport keyboard is much better than the PRIV's though.

If you want something a bit different don't write off the Passport but if you're going for different colours, you really want the Silver Edition which is a newer, unique design with more metal elements. White, red and black are all the same core design.

One of my staff has one of these. It's horrible, looks horrible, feels horrible, runs horrible. But if you like the keyboard...

Shame there was never an android build for the passport, I like the form factor and keyboard.

If you think the white/black/red is a monstrosity then don't even think about buying the sliver Edition, it wider and thicker than the original Passport with a weight to match.

Probably the final Blackberry 10 OS update was just released - no features of note. Build on passport is top quality but really OS is obsolete. I was sold a security locked passport by Amazon warehouse deals for £156 (was described as damaged box) Sent it back and bought a Priv in the Black Friday sale.

Ha, ha. I must be getting on... I phones are good for apps and the kids. I have this phone and its pretty amazing. I had all options but chose the pp after using one on test. If you use your phone for pp, emails and taking calls it is very good. My other half has a 6s and 7 ( work phone ) and my phone is clearer, has a longer lasting battery and is much more productive ( if you use your phone for work purposes ) than both of them. Blackberry messed up chasing the leisure market. Can't beat a phone that concentrates on being a phone..

You took the words right out of my mouth mate. Quality phone that actually make calls and sends texts emails etc. Can't believe the children's coments dismissing the great price these are now because of such 1st world issues such as it " will no longer be supported by the Facebook people " .Get a life and try Hamleys there may a toy there you!

you can only be taking about the z10 with this comment. the passport battery will outlast almost every android phone out there.

I've been using Blackberry phones for about 10 years and for email and serious tasks you can't beat them. For all the other nonsense a good tablet is surely the best option. Monster touch screen only phones are just for people who can't survive without a continuous gaming fix and want a posing piece.
