Yup, just a guess, 5 shelves 5 birds wide 2 deep, plus others on other shelves, and a next to empty shop.
Christmas will be a blast, we have Christmas music galore, loads of food, homemade mulled wine and enough spirits to sink a ship:-)
Sorry for the last minute help. I will ensure not to do it again.
Signing off for tonight back to the festivities... Hic

Not sure about the rest of the country but all the shops here closed at 5pm.

They closed at 6, it has occurred to me now that none are open boxing day, so at least in Maldon there are going to be 50 plus turkeys in the bin out the back tonight... What a waste

M&S ones are far better though. bought tons of stuff in lower earley store eg seafood platter £18 from £45 - crab, lobster, king prawns - very nice. most stuff half price to 75% off

My parents got a turkey for £50 from M&S yesterday! (Got some free gift vouchers so they paid for it).
£5 for a decent sized chicken for a normal Sunday dinner.....Turkey's seem a rip off regardless of how free range they are.

Tragic indeed, all food outlets should have a strong commitment toward redistribution rather than disposal.
Street Feast sounds quite catchy... but who will buy food if they can get a delicious turkey panini for free? New problems...

It was absolute madness in our local M&S Food - I popped in at 4pm and it was rammed, people just standing around, not buying anything, just waiting for the reductions - madness. Eventually the manager came out and put Half Price signs on the fridges containing the Turkeys. When the store closed at 5pm there were still quite a lot left on the shelves with use by dates of 26/12

they were reducing turkeys dated 26th dec in Tesco Colchester even though there open,
but instead of stickering them all, they were telling people half price, and marking them down
if they chose one, so any left remain full price

marks in bluewater had so much Xmas food which had 26th bbf date and not a single bit was reduced, not even a slight reduction, we stayed to after six and they just shut the shop, there must of been so much food going in the bin

Marks in dartford town centre, reduced turkey, and staff kept bringing out reduced bits, not just Christmas loads, pizzas 40p etc. Rather busy but loads left.
You picked the wrong one :disappointed:

Often see out of date food in my local. Do not seem to have sufficient staff numbers.

M&S are open on Boxing Day which is probably why they weren't reducing anything dated 26th December

Marks were rubbish this year for us, last hour reduce turkey and joints 50% off and decorations, cards but that was it. Lots of food Beng packed up off shelves maybe for the bin? Sad

I was in an m&s and al turkeys had been reduced to £4 - I didn't stand a chance as people were behaving like animals and taking 3 or 4 each.

My Tesco's had Turkeys from RRP of £30 down to £23 at 18:00 (Store closed at 19:00)...Didn't need one but went in for something else and took a look. Odd not to discount more tbh.

By far the biggest waste is mean, lazy customers: change their mind and leave frozen food in the ambient, chilled food in the frozen, etc. All has to be thrown out - really (son works there and despairs of his fellow human beings sometimes).

I happened to be in Lidl when the turkeys were going on sale. Boxes marked M+S, Tesco , Asda etc seems they are all the same!. Unless snobbery has a particular flavour.
