Just bought this in my local Morrisons [Newquay] for £2, they had more and some other cds as well. Good price for a new copy, currently £5.09 on Amazon, £5.99 at zoom and £6.99 at HMV.

You know it's a slow deal day when the best of ELO makes the hottest today list.

Finally got to Morrisons this morning, as it is close to where I work. This one only has chart albums. Shame.

A New World Record may be one of the finest albums ever recorded, IMO. As Allmusic.com says, Telephone Line is the best song Lennon & McCartney never wrote...

..from a man who is an AC/DC fan. Horrible metal with no imagination, all derivative 12 bar blues rubbish,
BTW - I don't think that at all I love AC/DC and live they'e one of the best bands ever. I'm just making the point that critical statements like the one you made are narrow minded and pointless. ELO and specifically Jeff Lynne are recognised as superb song writers and they have lasting popularity.

In your opinion. Not something music critics would agree with you about.

What a chance to introduce such a great musician to the younger people of today. It's just a shame that none of them have CD's any more.

Sorry to spoil it but he's supposed to be singing Groos, he now sometimes sings Bruce at concerts to have fun at the misheard lyrics.
