NB Good Housekeeping found the Stilton a bit "salty" - which is a bit like finding wine a bit "wet" or chocolate a bit "sugary", but each to their own.
At this price you could virtually live on Stilton for the entire winter - and that's OK, because Stilton is really good for you.

Whether you voted leave or remain....your life and your childrens life is going to seriously change and not for the better
Everything is so stacked against the plebs...but please feel free to vote for the party of change...which...you choose

Voted COLD just because of the BREXIT mention. ASAP IMHO.

No good getting cross because leaving the EU is complicated.. staying in was the 'no change to the status quo' choice.
Leave is seriously complicated. I work in the civil service and it's us chumps who have to sort the mess out.. as soon as anyone lets us know what the plan is, we'll be right on it.

A plan? Are you mad? Who cares if prices rise while jobs go? Who cares if our currency plummets and we can't afford to buy from abroad? BREXIT MEANS BREXIT, IMMEDIATELY AND NO MATTER WHAT!
I'm going to get some of this cheese purely because the OP is a like minded soul.
Apologies for getting all political but I think the Remain fight back has already started. I don't think Brexit does mean Brexit anymore. It's clearly going to be lengthy, complicated, damaging and costly process. I think people have twigged that Nigel is a self-serving rabble rouser backed by dodgy millionaires and that BoJo, despite his expensive Eton education is just a bit too thick to be a serious politician. The worse it gets, the more ordinary people are going to want what they already had. Sooner or later, the dam will break. I can't wait for the day to come soon enough.

Good price. Have some heat. Yes to the first question, no to all the others.

Got some of this last week for the Christmas cheeseboard but succumbed to temptation and opened it on Friday. We're slightly disappointed; taste is fine - classic Stilton as you'd expect - but the texture is - for us - far too soft and crumbly. It's impossible to get a decent slice to top an oatcake so the search for a replacement begins tomorrow. Heat added.

Are you leaving it out of the fridge for ages? Sometimes it depends on the batch a bit.. I like the Tuxford Stilton at Marks myself, but sometimes the cheese isn't mature enough for my tastes. Sometimes if it tastes bitter that's the problem.
Opening post
So
- Did you vote "leave" in the referendum?
- Do you breed bulldogs in your spare time?
- Are you wearing union jack underpants right now?
.. but are you squeamish about blue cheeses and prefer nice bland Dutch cheese made by a computer?
If the answer to the final question is "yes", then GET OVER YOURSELF and eat some proper cheese immediately.
Waitrose charging a full £11.90 for Long Clawson .. and this is £6.59 a kilo for the same cheese.
