I go every year ,just been to mine but times vary store to store , loads of fresh meats still full price with use by dates 26th , going back in n hour to see but its the chance you take ............

Yes we have started doing it every year, refuse to pay full price

I only found a single turkey left in 3 supermarkets I visited today so I'm not thinking they'll be a spare cheap turkey in the freezer this year.

Just got back from 4 Aldi's (and a Lidl). Lots of xmas food reduced to 50% off inc. turkeys

Hooray.....next year's Xmas meat is in the freezer! Half-price goose.

Last year at about 5:30pm my local Aldi were selling all Christmas meat for £5. I'm heading along there at a similar time today :sunglasses:

There was nothing going in Asda Hastings and Tesco had a few fresh turkeys at half price but nothing else either. Usually get the cream, and loads of deli stuff but thin pickings this year. I didn't bother checking any of the other stores. This town is home to hoards of avid bargain hunters so you really have to make a military exercise of it.
Decided to bring myself home and relax instead.

These comments do annoy me, have we forgotten the real meaning of Christmas? Jesus died so we can have chocolate eggs, and he was born so we can get cheap turkeys from Aldi. God bless us one and all.

I ventured out for a few last minute bits. No drykeys left in Aldi but it was a rather pleasant experience. All the shops were virtually empty. I had my pick of the tills!:smile:
