I personally don't see any reason to have a 31.5" monitor with only 1920x1080 resolution, but it's A LOT of monitor for the price.

I am considering this but ...... my reservation is the 1920 x 1080 resolution , I don't know if this is enough for great looking pictures , can anyone shed any light on this.
I use my pc mainly for spreadsheets and internet browsing (hukd included) but also view my pictures on my pc from my Nikon D3200 camera. I don't play games (other than Stronghold that is)
I sit about 3' away from my screen directly in front of it.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Have two of the 27" variety and they're great. The curve actually work at the distance you have with a monitor. The only bad thing is that there is a lot of blacklight bleeding at completely dark scenes, so not recommended for maybe movie viewing, more for general use and especially gaming.

Yup, ebuyer don't want you to return things for any reason, so they make it as difficult as possible - you have to pay :smiley:

It all depends how far away you are from it.

If you're thinking of it as a 32" TV and going to be about ~2 meters away from it, then fine. However any closer then the 'blocklyness' is going to be annoying as hell, especially if you're going to be using it as a monitor a meter or less away from your face.

I wouldn't touch the XZ321Q monitor because of the resolution, but it is 'hot' if you base it on price

I don't think you can compare a 31.5" 1080p to a 24" 2180p monitor, even if they're the same price, they're very different products!

​I wouldn't go for this at all it makes little sense, you're paying for 144hz monitor which is aimed at gamers, the resolution is also not great. The screen is being stretched another 4 inches so the pixels are going to be huge meaning photos will look worse in comparison to a good 27inch 1080p monitor. I would personally go for a nice 27" 1440p. The benq gw2765he on EBuyer is a better purchase in my eyes. Or if you are insistent on 1080p the LG 29um68 ips, the ips will give you much better colour reproduction in comparison the the above

There's no real benefit of 4k on a 24" display as you wouldn't be able to notice the difference from 1080p.

I have a 32" 1440p and feel the resolution is too low, so definitely consider this.

Wouldn't buy another thing from Ebuyer. Recently bought a monitor from them with a visible scratch to the screen. Their returns procedure is archaic! Courier never showed to pick up monitor, which they insisted he did as they could track him. Well sorry Ebuyer my cctv shows that there was never a driver at my house. Do yourselves a favour and buy elsewhere. Rant over!!!!

This is a curved 144hz gaming monitor with with free sync sub £300, none of the monitors posted are in the same bracket. 1080p is also great if you record/broadcast your gaming and the resolution honestly isnt that bad As people make out unless you sit 10 inches from the screen (which you really shouldn't) . Also you won't get wasted pixels if you plug in a game console.

If you dont want this for gaming than you are wasting your time.

Eh, i'm not sure I would feel comfortable with this resolution on a 31.5". I imagine picture disparity is huge from smaller 1080p which would be where the majority of people are 'upgrading from'. I would rather go for a 1440p 31inch+ or just settle for 24" 1080p 144hz that I am at currently, especially given that I sit like 1 Metre away from my screen. 31.5" 1080p would drive me bonkers at that distance.

Personally would not touch 1080p for anything more than a 24" monitor.

Though saying that this might be good for people rocking a gtx 1050/60 who want high FPS and a monstrous screen to match. Just don't expect a crystal clear picture if it's only 2ft away from your face, it will be very pixalated.

I would go for something smaller. At that viewing distance you're going to want crystal clear picture. Either stick with 1080p on something smaller or make the extra jump to 1440p on a bigger screen if you must go bigger.

As many have said this will likely look awful for normal use. 1080p in 31.5" gives pixels per inch(PPI) of 69.93. Text will look terrible. 24" is about the highest you want to go for a 1080p monitor.



2160p in 24" gives PPI of 185.58(For reference the retina macbooks are around 220). Remember people sit far closer to monitors than TVs. Anyone without impaired vision will most certainly will be able to see the difference at normal viewing distances. However I'm not sure how far along scaling has come in Windows things may appear very small!
