Was up last night. I bought it, then it quickly went back to £530. Now it's back down again. Monitor hasn't arrived yet, so I can't testify to it's brilliance, but from what I've read the monitor is top quality

Sadly at the moment the current scam seems to be create a shop which sells high ticket items at significant price drops, they ask the buyer to contact them before purchasing. They make a spiel about its new/ incoming stock which amazon won't let them sell direct and ask you to give them your details, They send a email appearing from amazon which tries to phish your details and get you to pay through them, since it is not done on amazon systems the buyer has no guarantee and if often left out of pocket. They pop up and get shut down quick enough, but they probably still catch a few people here and there.

Wow I need to brush up on buying from Amazon and marketplace sellers. I once helped a company get started on Amazon. They wanted to know everything from where the product would be sourced, import invoices and taxes. That was a long time ago, I guess they don't bother anymore.

The £350 sold on amazon yesterday was by a seller named Contact me before buying in jumbled up letters, so it was never a real price sadly, otherwise I would of been tempted.

I was going to get the Asus 27" version but read loads of bad reviews about the back light bleed on them so went for the Acer version even tho the same panel had less reports of bleed but I'm happy with mine but was a lot of money but goes well with my 1070.

If this is the 2k, 165hz, IPS one it's a cracking price. Paid £600 for fine 4 months ago and love it.

It's the TN panel, not IPS, although you can occasionally pick up the IPS version (Acer and Asus) for sub-£500 on Amazon Warehouse. Although a bit of a gamble if it's just in a damged box (and not a bad panel) you can still send em back within 30 days.
Mine copped me £480 (IPS) incl. delivery, was brand new and luckily had no backlight bleed (small amount of IPS glow though - no way round it unfortunatley with IPS panels).

Not only would the Gsync monitors come down in price, the Nvidia graphics cards might drop a bit too.

Sadly though (other than on a couple of DX12 titles) lacking in grunt are AMD. Nothing to compete with the 1070+. Wish they did, as that might knock Nvidia's pricing down a bit.
Gaming at a decent 'ultra' 1440p/144hz, 4K/60hz and you have to be pretty much tied to Nvidia.
1080p though, the 8gb AMD cards are much better bang for the buck than the GTX 1060 in the long run (driver optimisations etc).

Goodluck getting it at 350, those low prices lately are recent scams where they give you fake buy now address via email when you contact them as that is what they advise you lol. Be aware.
But yes that is the monitor, also amazon confirmed its ips panel and 165hz or 144hz cant remember which is weird considerin its 4k , will check it once get home from mauritius
This or xb281hk? :disappointed: 281 advertised as 144+ ips hz monitor but i doubt its true

They haven't sold that for a couple of years now. Was only for the ASUS VG248Q monitor I think.
Good price for a 165hz - the Acer has less bezel compared to the (same panel) Asus.
