Thought this was a pretty good deal for less than £500. Wouldn't really class it as a gaming laptop because of U rather than HQ processor.
The ebuyer deal posted is what I would have gone for but for £100 less, can compromise on processor and SSD space. I plan to have Windows and office on SSD and other files on the SATA hard drive.

hot 950m. games don't need i5 as much as gpu. try running xcom 2 on fast processor but weak graphics!

12 Dec 16#5
And that's the common mistake, games do need powerful processor as well as graphic card. This one here is too weak to run games, U processor + 950 is not enough to enjoy games. Price wise it's ok... nothing special.

I've read on other deals that they have been honoured in the past.
The 10% is for new customers whilst the £100 credit is for BNPL.

I had most of this in my criteria too but this was the best I could find. The Lenovo 510s came under £400 during black friday but it only had 128gb SSD.

Does anyone know how I can edit the price?

Asked online customer chat twice about using the 10% off and £100 cash back together and both times was told that you cannot stack discounts. I also rang their customer service number twice. First time I was told without a doubt there would be no issue with using the 10% code and getting the £100 cash back, however, the advisor would not give me any reference details to refer back to the conversation in the future. The second time I called, the advisor again said I could use both, although he sounded a little unsure and again, he was unwilling to provide me with any reference details. When I explained why I wanted the details he said he’d need to talk to his supervisor. I was then put on hold for a few minutes and when he got back he informed me that that his supervisor had said ‘try it and see what happens, if it works it works, if it doesn’t it doesn’t’. Brilliant…

I'll wait until they add the credit to my account before opening it. If not, I'll just return it back to them.

If you're hoping to get this by Christmas, phone up for a stock check.
It was out of stock since 28/11, still not in stock yesterday when my brother cancelled his order.

very told me because I used the 10% discount code I will not get the 100 pound instant credit . To be honest I would not trust very , their customer service is very shoddy. different reps gave me different answers. I will be returning the laptop. Better to be safe than sorry

I think this laptop is super value, despite a hiccup or two. Ordered on 5th Dec and delivered on 7th. Cpuz shows the processor is in fact the i5 7200U and the memory is Hyundai Electronics 1 X 8GB DDR4-2400 and in the 3rd of 4 slots?
I played Fallout 4 at both medium and high settings and had no issues. I was getting random shutdowns (complete loss of power) but I suspect this was due to the wrong cpu drivers, amongst others, I actually went right through device manager updating all drivers as necessary and have had no more shutdowns. So far I love this laptop and I wasn't eligible for any discounts.

I have ordered the same laptop. 10% has been applied and I have been told I will receive the £100 back in my account. Hope it works out. £588 itself is not a bad deal but if you get £100 cash back this laptop is dirt cheap for the config

The credit will be added in Jan or Feb bill. I still think it is a good deal for 588 pounds.

Have swapped out the 1 X 8GB DDR4-2400 for 2 X 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4-2400 in the two slots provided, not the four slots cpuz reports. Ran Fallout 4 at Ultra settings on the 4GB GDDR5 950M and its smooth as silk. No more random shutdowns since updating all the drivers and the OS to Win 10 Anniversary.

Can i pick people's brains on here? (i did just post this on the tesco deal thread too, hope thats ok)
its for on the go-work,and only want to play some of the older classic games too...(CS source, dod, bf2, maybe newer battlefields) but hoped i could pull off gta 4 and gta 5 on low settings. sadly its not playing gta 4 so well, so i have low hopes for gta 5, among other stuff.
my old HP A8 amd (shared graphics too) did a pretty good job running most of those games, except gta 4 of course, which still ran, but laggy as hell. ...im so suprised this A12, a latest gen laptop and..what..4 models(?) later with latest shared graphics cant play this same game that much better.
also this Lenovo's keyboard layout is fudged up, and the worst... the battery is shockingly less than 3hours at best! outrageous frankly. ...not to mention a few software issues, which might be down to user-error (me!) or win8 stuff...and video amd driver issues.
**...so i now have a decision to up my budget and go for dedicated gpu laptop (ideally with ssd and fhd) maybe with i3 or i5.... or just accept the fact i got an ok price considering the fhd screen and processor!
im just struggling to get to grips with new tech of newer processors of intel and hyperthreading of the skyflake models etc... and looking at this tesco deal and the very deal, both look ok, but i dont like the i3 so much (despite reading peoples comments above).
please help?
thanks, appreciate it
